- Chief meteorologist Chris Franklin says Beryl could continue to intensify right up to the point of making landfall, somewhere along the Texas coast.
This guy is actually one of the better ones. Been following his reports for a few days now.
It will shift further east. They have been making adjustments for two days in the forecast.

further east lololol. The track has been shifting further NORTH. Christ. It was going to be Mexico/Brownsville, unless it left the Yucatán peninsula on the north side and not west end. Once the former happened the models already had it going the Corpus way. Is it going to matter either side of that city. NO. Houston will probably get half a foot of rain, and some inland towns too. It has already slowed down to low teens mph from 20. better hope it doesn't slow up anymore or you might as well start pairing up the animals and head to Home Depot.

Cat 1 is barely note worthy. I lived in Fla for years, Cat 1 = Have some extra food and water and a means to cook in case of brief power outages. Expect some minor storm damage, tree limbs, a few knocked down power lines, possibly some broken glass because some clown forgot to secure their trash cans, possibly a few trees that were on their way out going down. Basically it is a long lasting severe thunderstorm with high winds. Most places are going to be just fine. Simply don't plan on restaurants being open, instead plan to eat home to head to someone's party and have a good couple days off work.
Fear is dumb. Embrace life and death. What's there to worry about? Fear is a silly frequency.

I lived in fear for 18 years while living on the gulf coast. Wild horses couldn't drag me back there. Praying all in the path will be safe. 🙏
We have to pay attention Surface Pressure. It is 996mb now. But it will be getting lover on the gulf. I think rain, wind will effect Texas and Louisiana. Let see this system on Sunday.
Where Beryl is projected to hit desperately needs the rain so this is good news.
The parts it's no longer hitting needed rain way more. Being on the west side of a hurricane or tropical storm sucks ass, no moisture or rain just more heat and sunshine, if it hits west everyone wins.

Houston wasn't even mentioned last Thursday! NOW ... Houston is facing torrential flooding .... AGAIN! Today's weather models REALLY AREN'T VERY GOOD!
