First time witnessing European football was in Marseille and it was so surreal!! They are so passionate 😃
Since the end of the covid it's even crazier! It's actually one the highest attendance in Europe with 65000 fans for every game
Fun fact : Among the supporters, there is a guy who is standing facing the supporters. He doesn't even watch the match, but motivates the fans with a megaphone for 2 hours.😹

Yes, tifo is done for every game in Marseille. But those on video present in full stadium were particularly big and set up for some important game or European confrontation. Normally there are 2 tifos in each side: "virage sud" and "virage nord". The guy present in many tifo is Che Guevara who is icon of OM. Thanks for the video. The away sector is precisely where is filmed most of tifos. Groups are: "Commando Ultra", "South Winners", "Marseille Trop Puissant", "Yankees Nord Marseille"(forbidden since a few years), "Dodgers", "Fanatics", "Club des amis de l'OM" and "Club Central des Supporters" (closed now). Names are not related to US teams. "Dodgers" is because some lieutenant Dodge who left US North army when some Yankee members decided to move alone and create their own supporter club. "Yankee Nord Marseille" refers to US army fighting against racism and so called Yankees. Thanks for the interest my friend.

Im from Marseille but never been Into football but every time I go to the Velodrome it’s like Im becoming one for a game. It’s so powerfull really something you need to do in your Life
i have been a supporter of OM since a very young age, I had the chance to know OM when it was the best team in Europe in the early 1990s… since the 2000s it is less glorious but the fervors and passion of the elders and the youngest remains the same. i have been a subscriber to the “south winners” since 2011 I have made a lot of trips in Europe to support OM (England for Arsenal, Germany for Dortmund, Italy for Naples, Spain for Real Madrid…)

That's why one of the moto of the OM fan is : "à jamais les premiers" (forever the first !).
