Just doing this on the 18 f3s I traded my Ryker Sport in for. Thanks for the great demo.
A couple of comments. It's a pain to do so, but you really should disconnect the battery any time you're messing with electrical work.
Second, those crimp connectors you used are marine grade with both heat shrink and sealing adhesive. Your hair dryer would have made those connections water tight.

I like the ease of the Ryker plug and play accessory hookup. But you made this install very clear.

I took a Can Am training course this past weekend in Massachusetts, and the instructor mentioned your CZcams channel. He said your videos were helpful for those who want to work on their own Can Am Ryker or Spyder. I do watch your videos and they are helpful.

That looks nice it matches with the handlebars doesn’t block anything non-obtrusive 🤪👍🏻✨

Thank you, I think it’s a beautiful install in a nice accessory for Spyders.

Good info. In the future when using those butt connectors, they have heat shrink built in. use a heat gun to shrink the tube down around the wire, it will make a water tight connection. You can Tape them for extra protection.

      @rykerparkingonly7441 Před 2 lety +1

Only a few brands have ones with the heat shrink capability. Most are just crimping like was she has. Although those are a better option if you have a heat gun.

That’s a great tip Ken! I’m not sure all connectors have shrinkwrap built in, but I would definitely prefer to use the ones that do!

Got a couple questions for you! And appreciate your genuine videos! 👍🏾 1st : do you recommend or which do you recommend for a sound system with amplifier on the Ryker, 2nd question….. I have not been able to find a legitimate answer on the towing capacity of the Ryker 900 rally, just to tow a little trailer and possible cooler maybe a light suitcase no more than 60 pounds maybe thanks so much

      Hi there. Thanks for watching.
      1. I can not speak intelligently on a sound system for the Ryker, as I do not use one. I prefer using Cardo in the helmet.
      2. YOU CAN NOT TOW with the Ryker. The bike is not set up for it (single A-arm). If you do make something on your own, it will through all sorts of fault codes. If you happen to find something that works, let us know. But no one, that I am aware of, has figured it out. Sorry.

I think it’s time for you to go with a Spyder instead of the Ryker

Are you supposed to krimp the ends on the blue connectors?

    • @RykerRydes

Yes please watch 10:42 of how I do it.

@@RykerRydesno... i know english isent my first language but what I mean is the blue thing you heat it so that it shrink around the cable and make it waterproof. I hope you understand what I mean now. I'm sorry for the confusion. No need for the tejp.

OMG I am just now seeing this! I hope your install project went well. And yes, heat shrinking. It is always a great idea.
