Masta Ace is mad underrated even though here in NY we give him love n homage.
2years later and still super underrated.
Love from SoDak
But at least he reached me and my homies all the way in South Africa. That says something.
Me too, I had this album back in the day, disposable arts🔥🔥@@SammyTTS8
This will forever stay in rotation..one of the best songs off a classic album
Disposable Arts is a clever concept album that follows a young Brooklyn man’s release from prison, his return home, and his life at “The Institute of Disposable Arts”, a school in which Ace enrolls after realizing how bad the situation in Brooklyn is. The album offers excellent production and dope wordplay throughout; from Masta Ace himself and guests like Rah Digga, Jean Grae, Greg Nice, Punchline, Wordsworth, and more. Disposable Arts is universally acclaimed by Hip Hop connoisseurs, but the album sold poorly and is definitely underappreciated in that regard. This is
One of the greatest ever
No recognition smfh 😑
the sad thing is the fact that i played this album for my friend he told me that he thought it was dope and that he could see the eminem influence.
🔥🔥🔥🔥 The Art Of Emceeing The Art Of Story Telling
Man, masta ace.
This album I prefer to illmatic, GRODT, dmx first 2, and so many others from NY or Westcoast.
This album was amazing in every which way. The production is stellar.
The lyricism and story telling is great, and I love how masta ace is and was intelligent gangster rap
He wasn't here to portray the evil that glorifies the life of a thug, but to tell stories and spread knowledge.
Would've been interesting to see him and Tupac together had Pac not signed to death row and began glorifying gangster life (I love paca death row work still).
It's just refreshing when you hear gangster rap that isn't about selling a bogus lifestyle to the masses, but instead giving a dose of reality.
Masta ace, not cursing every few words. Love it. It's grown man's music, but I started listening as a little kid when his songs were on the first saints row game.
Dope Track. Respect from Colombia!
This is one of the greatest hiphop songs ever made…
💯, this is one of the best hip hop albums ever
This man is the real GOAT.
One of his best ones
Beat is fire!! I'm just now hearing this in 2021!!! What a gem!!! 🔥🔥🔥💯🙏

Beats good but the lyrics and story are what make this track still be in my playlist after 10+ years.
Damn sucks your just now listening
Okay Zoomer
Love this album/this song/these beats! Masta ace is spectacular. But his buddies showed up.
Not mentioning the crazy verse of Masta Ace, brooo Punch and Words went fucking harddddd on this beat
only real hiphop heads here, a classic
2:36 easily one of the best verses in HipHop top 20 the way he describes the cardiac arrest with speeding up his cadence and flow is genius.
that is a hip hop artist named Wordsworth. and yea, it's one of the best hip-hop verses in history
@@garrettkittel304 I have a lot of verses I could put up against it but it is top 15 for me for sure
The lyrics are just mind blowing. Well done.
Yo this album takes me back in the day I chose to be dope

For those who don’t know: Eminem credits Masta Ace for being on of his biggest inspirations for his style. And you can definitely hear the similarities in their earlier music.
