    Deutsche Bahn AG l’appelle ICE 3 neo Class 408. Siemens Mobility, qui l’a développé en un temps record d’un an sur la base d’une plate-forme ICE 3 de la série Velaro D 407, l’appelle Velaro MS pour les systèmes multiples ERTMS bifréquence et bi-tension en 1,5 kV DC, 3 kV DC, 15 kV 16,7 Hz AC et 25 kV AC
    La Deutsche Bahn AG ne voulait pas d'une longue étude comme ICE4
    En août 2019, 30 unités multiples ont été commandées pour un total de 1 milliard d'euros pour remplacer les classes ICE3 406 pour le trafic ferroviaire international, confirmer pour 320 km/h sur NBS avec une modularité proche des ICE 4 .
    Une deuxième tranche de 43 trains supplémentaires en 2022 a également été signée.

    Interesting to see, or rather hear, they have a different Sound than when operating in germany, the engine sound switches with a step when accelerating instead of slowly climbing like here. I guess this is rooted in the different electrification systems? Or maybe this train is newer than the ones in service in Germany and has slightly different power supply?

      The reason is different EMC and Noise values. For example, there is since 2020 a new maximum noise allowed when accelerating in Germany.

      @@powgames maybe it's the best to look up for: traction controller in synchron/asynchron electric motors. There you will find, how frequency, amplitude and some other factors changes the sound of the electric motor.

      @@powgames they dont it is due to the fact that in the netherlands there is less electricity on the wires (1,5kV in Netherlands and 15kV in Germany) and the motor has to work harder for the same acceleration.

      @@melaniedrogr951 This is pure wrong. The motor don't has to work harder for the same acceleration. This case might be true in the 1960's but since the invention of traction converters, this is just wrong.

      Yes, they use a different pattern under 3kV, 25kV and 1.5kV

      It depends on which voltage system the train is using. It sounds different in 15kV than here on 1.5 kV

      Look up for yourself videos of this train in Germany, Belgium and Netherlands. Depending in the voltage Systeme, the sound is different.

    des nouvelles rame pour remplacer les anciens qui tombe en panne souvant esperons que tou ira bien pour ces materiel roulant parce que il y a urgent il faut remplacer ces ICE defaillant par ces nouveau materiel neo esperons qu'il seront ponctuel parce que les ancien c est plus possible
