Palestine's legal representative urges UN action against Israeli occupation at ICJ

- “The right of self determination requires that UN member states bring Israel's occupation to an immediate end.”
Palestine's legal representative, Philippe Sands, called for United Nations action against Israel's occupation of Palestinian lands during a session at the International Court of Justice (ICJ) on Monday.
Sands emphasised the immediate need to end the occupation, stating that all UN member states are legally obligated to do so. The ICJ is hearing the case, separate from the genocide case brought by South Africa, which focuses on the legal consequences of Israel's decades-long occupation.
The proceedings aim to provide an advisory opinion, with the highest number of states participating in any ICJ case since its establishment in 1945.

@@LACYJEN1999eventually either the security council will begin acting or the general assembly will bypass it with the Unite for Peace formula if the US keeps vetoing. With either of those, economic and military solutions can be enacted.

Why has USA, UK and the EU countries allowed/condoned Israel occupation for decades of Palestine and the injustices suffered by the people of Palestine?

Correct. The U.S. suggested a ceasefire today, I wonder why? The ICJ and the representations made there do count.
The US been recommending a ceasefire for a while now it has nothing or little to do with this is about the West Bank. Not sure how this will effect the conflict in Gaza if ICJ rules in favor of the Palestine.
My guess is that Gaza will get wrapped in with West Bank after the war. Which means Israel will have no choice but to with draw from Gaza.
Not that any of this matters as Israel will not listen or comply to any decision ICJ makes.
