Plac Nowy is a great market with superb Zapiekanki, there is no elegant way to scoffing one 😂😂 The last time I had one from there, by the time I had finished, it looked like I had been shot in the face, sauce EVERYWHERE! 😂😂😂

There was no blood bath at Plac Boharetow Getta. Each of the 70 chairs represents 1000 Jews who were deported from the ghetto and their personal items just tossed into the square.

I recently rewatched your Poland videos. Thank you for making another video in this amazing country. I didn't realise those tombstone-like walls were still standing. Reading about the Poles in WW2 at the moment too, so this video really was a great surprise.

Interesting fact is the first one in Europe and where the origins of the word are ...it was the only place where jews were sage during persecution time like in spain.

Very interesting Justin. Thank you. I’ll visit one day. Did you also know, that there was a ghetto in Riga, in almost where you went to a flea market and where you were buying some old riga balsam. There is a museum. Would be nice to see video from there. There are also couple of memorials in Riga, where Jewish people where killed. One of them in Rumbula. Nazis were bringing people by trains from Europe to Riga ghetto and then killing them, then bringing more and so on. There is also one distroyed sinagog, which was burned I think with people inside. Horrible, but it might be interesting for you to visit.

I hope one day a book by Stanislaw Grzesiuk ‘Five years in concentration camps’ will be translated to English.
The reality of concentration camps, the adjustment to camp life and finding ways (sometimes quite extraordinary) to survive, even some dark humour.
It is very special book, making you feel that you as a human can adjust to literally any environment.

I dont know about the guy selling tickets to the synagogue but I was there once and there was another guy. We had a brief chat. He was a polish jew, he said exacly the same thing about visitors from Israel. He had nothing against jewish obviously but he said israeli guests are pain in the ass.
Jew group tours, especially the schul ones from Zydrael, are prepared with anti Polish propaganda and are supervised by Sayanim who are trained in Hasbarah trolling. They are told to be on the look out for razizt Poles and to watch out for antisemitism. This is a big shekel spinner for the Jew tour guides and they hold on tight.
Zapiekanki have become traditional Polish cuisine. Zapiekanki are Poland's gift to street food connoisseurs, that and Polish sausage

The tragedy is that people don"t know history (especially Americans unfortunately) and call camp in Oświęcim Polish Camp.

And I will tell you why there were Jewish ghettos in such big cities as Warsaw, Kraków or Łódź. On the example of the Warsaw Jewish ghetto. At the beginning of the war, when the Germans entered Poland, the situation of Polish Jews was better than that of Poles. The Germans did roundups for Poles, not Jews, they had armbands on their sleeves and when there was a roundup, Jews were released and Poles were shot or sent to Auschwitz Birkenau because not Auschwitz, but Birkenau was made for Jews. The attitude of Poles towards Jews during the war was neutral, although after the Soviets entered Polish territory, Jews welcomed the Soviets as liberators and called them Polish officials, Polish activists, which usually ended in death or being sent to Russian gulags. When the Germans entered Poland, the Jews turned to to the Germans for the establishment of Jewish autonomy in Poland, which the Germans agreed to, but they had to concentrate more in one place, everyone knows how it ended. There are diaries of a Jew who had conversations with the Germans and wrote a diary every day saying that the Germans agreed. In Warsaw, the Jewish ghetto hardly had its own Jewish authorities, its own police, and they handed over their compatriots to the Germans. 250 thousand 800 survived, and they were mainly Jewish police and officials, when they returned to Israel, then President Begin said that only the thugs survived the Warsaw Ghetto because he knew what they were doing to their compatriots. The Germans did the same thing with the Ukrainians who wanted to form Ukraine, formed a government and the Germans arrested and killed them. History is not what they tell you or what you see. In the USA, they once made a feature film with well-known actors about the struggle of Jewish partisans how they heroically fought against the Germans, only Poles saw it a little differently. They were bandits for Poles who robbed Poles of everything they had, leaving Poles with nothing, and if someone refused to rob, they killed him. Well, Jews present themselves as the only victims of the war because 4 million of them died. but 6 million Poles died, which puts Poles in 1st place as to war victims as to the pre-war population. I don't know if you know about it in Western Europe. The propadanda operated for 70 years and Poland could do nothing about it from the Iron Curtain. Let me mention that only in Poland there was a death penalty for helping Jews and not infrequently when a Jew was found in a block of flats, the inhabitants of the entire staircase went to the death camps because the neighbors must have known about it, but in Israeli schools they teach about you and students ask stupid questions why Polish society, however, agreed. Poles are among those honored with the Israeli decoration for saving Jews. Did anyone wonder who saved so many Jews during the war and now there is only a campaign against Poles because it's about money.

The history is particular,i has been in Tarnów city in the east my mother is from there but my father from italy where a live,anyway a large jewish population was also present there,even Amon Goth from Płaszów camp(not far from Krakow)visited himself to organize deportations also,Nazis were more brutal with these jews of the east Europe beacuse they were differents from the west,the chasidic movement was born in Poland Bealarus Ukraine in these parts,and they dresses more like today and most of them were not so wealthy in comparison with others from the west,they were othodox,in Tarnow some people witness brutal executions of even small children on sidewalks without weapons,an important fact is also the first train to Auschwitz departed from Tarnów,initially Auschwitz was for detention of political prisoners ,after from Labour concentration camp also and for elimination of people
