  • Tottenham players underwent training in South Korea ahead of their pre-season campaign. Conte set-up running training consisting of 15 laps of 300m (4.5km) in which several players "collapsed" and were extremely tired.

We can admire it, but is it the right sort of training in the bigger picture of a full season? I follow the work of Raymond Verrheijen, this type of training so intense might cause fatigue during the season. We saw with Liverpool in 2020/21, a big drop off because of Klopps intense style. Where with a shorter break between the seasons, his players were burned out during the season which caused injuries.
To me it's like the old British Football mentality 40 odd years ago & before, run the balls off players. Up the stands, running up hills etc.

Passing out sounds unhealthy and dangerous. Benefits of exercising incl building physical, mental health. Exercising should not be about creating negative impact on one's body or risking one's life. I know of a firefighter in mid 20s, who died of a heart attack from fitness training. Also important for everyone to learn CPR, access to Automated Ext Defibrallator. This saves Christian Eriksen.
