Lord Voldemort is seeking the Elder Wand, and what better place to look than Ollivander's wand shop? Unfortunately for the Dark Lord, many other wizards go shopping at Ollivander's too. And some are more powerful even than Voldemort.

I love that LOTR and its characters have this legendary and powerful status in crossovers.
That’s just common sense in any series, wands are always weaker and have lower stats than a staff.
Now we know how Gandalf got his stalf back... XD

In middle earth he is limited by his mission to not interfere too directly and often doesn't want to draw too much attention.
But in the HP universe, using spells really isn't that out of the ordinary.
Only now I've realized that although LEGO minifigs don't have noses, Voldemort has one!

Jack The Basketball Playing Elephant! In the Harry Potter books it features our world in the present as containing the wizarding world but hidden from all the muggles by magic. So would it be too hard to imagine LOTR existed in Harry Potter but it is in New Zealand not England and is hidden from muggles by magic?

did you know your can block the curse with something inorganic but his staff is made of wood so...... its made of plastic then. now that i have said it it must be cannon.

the staff itself is organic, yes. but in each staff of the white orders staves is a crystal through which magic is channeled. there easier to see in radaghast's staff and sarumon's black staff, but if you look closely enough, they all have one. the crystal is, of course, inorganic

Well, that's a subjective matter. Personally, while I prefer the Lord of the Rings over Harry Potter in terms of fantasy, the works are entirely unrelated and arise from different periods and literature. The only reason comparisons and contrasts are made between the two works is because of the films being released around the same time. Other than that there is no need to compare the two and say that one is better than the other because they are not in the same literary era. It is more appropriate to compare LOTR with Narnia because they are from the same time period and the authors were good friends.

Umm... Gandalf? You do know you just used an unforgiveable curse, right? I mean, I know you're a good guy and those are bad guys, but still...
Gandalf didn't use an Unforgivable Curse. The Death Eater did. If you look, you can clearly see the green coming from the Death Eater's wand, which is the color of the Avada Kedavra spell. Gandalf just blocked it.

Gandalf got away with shouting in the Black Tongue in Rivendell (in front of the High Council of Elves, no less). I'm pretty sure nobody will confront him over an Unforgivable Curse.

I really loved the video, a HP/LotR crossover that should've actually happened in the movie. I love the new intro sequence and the sound editing. And the dwarves are: Gimli, Dori, Bofur, Oin and I think I also saw Bifur or Thorin in the background at Gringods.
