"They" say that X should be in 2026 (or 2025.) X is the best band ever! Thank God I had heard them in 1978! In a all girls Catholic high school where Bruce Springsteen was everyone except my favorite! I had X, Lou, and Patti. I clearly had excellent taste!
This album sounds just like X's first two albums ever made. We all need this right now. No pop and boring guitar riffs and monotone drum beats. Straight in your face raw and noisy.
Yeah, definitely more like the earlier releases. I was thinking in between ...Black Sun and More Fun... for some reason though on the whole. Some songs are like those first two though.
And send the abomination of auto-tune back to whatever hell spawned it. If you want to be a singer, then practice. Besides, some of the best voices are great because of their rawness.
The first two albums are just too too right on smash hard great!!

I go way back with X..In 1981 I read a quote in CREEM Magazine.."X is the Greatest Band in the History of Modern Music" ..Immediately ordered Wild Gift directly from Slash Records..Actually got the 1st album Los Angeles after Wild Gift..Alphabetland is freaking Amazing!! Billy Zoom the BEST!!!

I was lucky enough to see X with Jason and the Scorchers way back in '84 (?) in NYC at a place called the Ritz ( I think). Great show. Dave Alvin came out and played for one of the encores. Haven't seen X since. Wish I had. Great to see them out with new stuff and still kicking it. I never heard X on any Philly FM stations, only on WPRB Princeton radio so that is where I kept my radio tuned in to. The DJ's back then played anything and everything. Thanks, folks.

I’m classic rock and 80’s Metal, but I always had a soft spot for X. “Under The Big Black Sun” is my favorite, and I saw them in Austin November 18, 1982.
I've supported X throughout all their incarnations and eras (I'm old), but I must say they sound tops when Billy Zoom is prominently featured in the mix. Love this!
There is no doubt, Billy was always essential to their greatness.

X, Metallica, Fear Factory, Rage Against The Machine, Jane's Addiction, Led Zeppelin, Codeine, Miranda Sex Garden, Bauhaus, The Cure, and the most missed The God Machine are my "miliar stones" rockbands ever. I agree, this sound echoes "L.A." album. Not for everyone to keep the courage to reunite 35 years later. Not for those very few the inspiration to repropose the same sound. Just X hit the target to be renewed and fresh too. Immense congracts. Davide from Italy.
