Thanks Yuka chan for showing us a traditional Japanese treat. Your infectious smile always makes your videos enjoyable. I've not seen that much here, we tend to have mostly ice cream in the summer. It looks refreshing, the second one looks good, the third maybe an acquired taste.
I was the implant engeneer for a Japanese candle factory here in massachusetts( kamiama USA) I loved working for them,learned a lot Japanese and made many friends that I still have on my Facebook,they closed the factory and went back,I miss those times

Best shaved ice I've ever had in Japan was in the countryside, not far from my kominka, at my favorite local cafe. It was matcha and the cost was under $5 -- but it was absolutely perfect. It's about the skill and care involved.

Kakigori is underrated! I've had a few when I was in Japan. When the heat reaches your own body temperature you really need to cool down and Kakigori is the perfect thing for it. I even bought my own little kakigori machine at BIC and took with me home so I could do my own here during the summer. ✌😁🍧

At first, I thought 2,300 yen and 70 minutes wait for an icecream was a bit crazy but I bet you forget all about that the second it hits the table. The edamame / anko mix must have been delicious. Great video, really. You look very pretty with that white lace ribbon in your hair. Taking us from Nakamise and Sensō-ji to Mizumachi and then teleporting to Ueno, 😉✨. @DanielSHIRO I learned since I was a kid watching anime, チャンバラ flicks and playing video games. Mostly by ear, though. I can understand it (roughly) but my written 日本語 is fairly limited, 😅.
@DanielSHIRO You got that right, friend. These translation programs are way too literal and clumsy at best. I wouldn't trust any of them at 100 % but as far as I know, "Deepl" is the more solid.

Great video Yuka! That ¥2000 and ¥900 shaved ice I’d try once. But I’d probably prefer a simple ¥400 strawberry shaved with ice cream 🍨🤙
