It hurts yes and I miss my dad more then anything but I’m glad I got those memories, and he taught me what he did. I I’m glad I got him for the 14 years I did then not knowing him at all. Watching them waste to skin and bones, and take there last breath is the hardest thing I’ve ever done. It eats at me everyday thinking maybe if I spent more time with him maybe he would’ve fought harder or I should’ve spent his last months constantly with him, but I can’t. He’ll always been in my mind and not having him around to give his opinion like about my first boyfriend or my husband hurts! He always knew best, but I’m glad I loved him with all I could when I could. Losing him made me the adult I am today. I wouldn’t have made the same mistakes or met my hubby so it comes with pros and cons I guess. It makes us stronger and I’d do ANYTHING to have him back! He’s not in pain anymore tho and he can’t watch our country go to shit. I’m just happy I got the time I did with him! 🥺🥺🥺
This song was me for about 20 years. Met the love of my life in 1994, and we dated for 9 months. I knew back then that she was the one, but we were unfortunately forced to break up. I lived the single life until 2014, when we reconnected, and confessed the feelings for one another that we never lost. She dropped everything to come be with me again, and we are now happily married almost 5 years. This time I swear I will never let her go.
I knew him since I was 15; knew I loved him since I was 17; missed him since I was 21 and got married to the one God planned for me to marry. Dammit Elly, that broke my heart 😢. I knew her since I was 12. We grew up down the road from each other. I always loved her but I was so afraid. I let her get away from me around 21 and lost contact for 15 years. I never got married despite being a 6’2 good looking guy…I just refused to settle for anything less than someone who filled my belly up with butterflies like she did. Nobody ever did. I never forgot and not a day went by. Then…I found her again. She was married and living just 3 miles away from me. My grandfather is in the hospital now he had a heart attack but they cought it just in time. It was not as bad as my dad's first one. I just hope my grandfather doesn't have another because I don't know what I would do because he could die. The options are surgery or meds and he wants surgery but if he has surgery he will end up in a home and never leave, I don't want that at all if that happens I will probably not get to see him a lot because I don't drive and I probably shouldn't get my license now. My grandfather is 90. I just wish he took his meds when he was supposed to so this wouldn't have happened so since it did happen I just want all this to be over and he is back to normal and nothing else bad happens. If he ends up on a ventilator and doesn't come off until he dies or pulls the plug this might be the song I will sing to him or I might just sing it to him now when he is not dying

I lost my husband back in 2008, even though he’s been gone now for over 10 years I still miss him. It feels like I just lost him today. I’ve been told it gets easier with each passing day, but it hasn’t. I’ve tried counseling, group therapy ...different groups and nothing helps, I’ve been given medications for depression but nothing helps like old fashioned crying does. Songs like this one reminds me of him and the love we had for each other, one day I will see him again. I haven’t found anyone to fill the void as of yet. This describes my situation exactly. I'm serving on my first deployment for the Air Force in a combat zone. It's tough being away from my husband and my 10 month old daughter both whom I had to leave behind. I still cry when I think about how quickly my baby girl is growing and everything I'm missing while deployed. The sacrifices military members make is unfathomable until you're there yourself.
Thank you for your service and sacrifice to our Country. I hope more people realize what you all go through and have to leave behind to keep us all safe. This reminds me of my dog, molly who died a couple years ago. She was an absolute angel because she loved to play and wanted attention everyday. She would sometimes be feisty because she wants to play or sometimes want attention lol. She died of old age and I really miss her. She died in the middle of the night and it was heartbreaking. My parents and I cried a lot because she was perfect and we have had her for a long time, we had her before I was born. Her grave is at my grandparents house so I can visit her pretty often. Reading your story for some reason made me think of my mother's rescue dog Chance. She was a pure Boxer and a total love bug. Sadly, she died of Addison's Disease a few years ago. I also thought of a story about Mike Bettes; a meteorologist for The Weather Channel. Many people remember how Mike broke down sobbing on air while covering the immediate aftermath of the Joplin, Missouri tornado on May 22nd, 2011 outside of St. John's Regional Medical Center. What they don't know is that following the disaster Mike Bettes adopted a Golden Retriever who lost her home in the tornado and named her Joplyn. Aww! Sadly, Joplyn died last year. While I was understandably saddened by this because I love dogs; I reconciled my sadness by reminding myself that Joplyn was adopted by a good man who loved her a lot.

Long ago a Chinese Man said LOVE is more than just words, it is the joining of two hearts. I can definitely identify with that fact. Some folks call it soulmates I do not understand ? To me it is heart mates. Can anyone identify with my feeling ? My soul, belongs to Almighty God. My heart belongs to my first love.... she was taken from me over 40 years ago in a car accident. When I think of her as often as I do she seems to be only...a moment away. It is indescribable... I can still feel HER hand in mine.
It's like being locked in a moment of time, you go forward after it, but it's like you don't truly exist beyond it. God's Love for us is even beyond that of human understanding. It's like the strongest love one can have for a person and magnified exponentially. As I try to describe it, I can still only say, as you have. It is truly indescribable.

I lost my little brother on January 10th 2019. I recieved the horrible news about my brothers passing. It hit me so hard i was not believing it. I screamed no.. Not my brother not my hero.. I got angry and mad. I just was so lost so broken.. I was alone. My boyfriend was at work. I called him and he was in shock. He rushed home. Showered and we headed to be with my mom. It still kills me inside. It was way to soon for him to go. We have so many plans still in life to do. We were supper close. He would csll me every morning and we would talk and have coffee over the phone. Mom and my brother lived together. I just can't shake that hes gone. Still feels unreal. He was always my rock he would drive anywhere to come help me. He was awsome with welding. Aint anyone alive that could weld better then him. I miss him so much i seat and cry. I know people tell me to move on and look ahead in life. But i can't get passed this. Please say a prayer for my momma angel, she in so much pain loosing her baby . A parent shoulden't haveto burry her babys. I know my hero will always love me and my momma and my sisters and half brother and sister. Please lift up my family in prayers. Me and my ex bf remain friends after we broke up. We still got together as friends whenever we are in town. We hang out. Drive around. Kisses and cuddles. Did everything like we are still in a relationship. How nice would it be if we are still lovers. Cus the relationship we have even after the breakup is amazing. Life after him wasn't the same. Although theres still some good understanding between us we can never get back together but we still talk pretty much. Some days I woke up in the middle of the night wishing him to still be mine. But things won't work out. I miss him so much.

I just lost my 24 yr old daughter she was scheduled for a csection 3 days later to give me a beautiful granddaughter. 5 miles from home she was in a fatality car wreck. We lost them both. My dad died a couple months ago. He was the most incredible person I have ever known. His students sent me a book they put together. It contained his students accolades of him. It was 40 pages long. Everybody loved my dad. He was the most outgoing, friendly and interested in other people. He was incredibly bright as well. I am currently working on a project that will hopefully keep his memory alive for generations. I will never stop loving him.

I just moved back in with my parents. I am only 19, life is not only a struggle it's also a down fall. My dear...you have been through a great deal of pain in your life...I admire your strength to push on! I'd like to share with you something that gave me great comfort when I lost my dad ( cancer ) and my 26 year old son ( car wreck ) both in 2016. I was hurting so badly.....someone directed me to a free website called JW.ORG. At that site I found many encouraging videos.....some that even dealt directly with losing a loved one. But the MOST encouraging thing I found there was a little Bible study aid called: " WHAT DOES THE BIBLE REALLY TEACH?" anyone can read it entirely online......or if they prefer, a person can request a free copy be sent to their home. In this book are two chapters which gave me the BEST comfort and hope about my dad and my son than I could ever have asked for. One chapter is "Where are the dead?" and another is "Real hope for our dead loved ones." Everything in that book is supported by scripture.....and the hope it offers you wont find offered in a church. I hope I have piqued your curiosity enough to check it out for yourself....if you do....you will find a loving comfort about those in YOUR life that you miss......peace to you and your family!

It hurts yes and I miss my dad more then anything but I’m glad I got those memories, and he taught me what he did. I I’m glad I got him for the 14 years I did then not knowing him at all. Watching them waste to skin and bones, and take there last breath is the hardest thing I’ve ever done. It eats at me everyday thinking maybe if I spent more time with him maybe he would’ve fought harder or I should’ve spent his last months constantly with him, but I can’t. He’ll always been in my mind and not having him around to give his opinion like about my first boyfriend or my husband hurts! He always knew best, but I’m glad I loved him with all I could when I could. Losing him made me the adult I am today. I wouldn’t have made the same mistakes or met my hubby so it comes with pros and cons I guess. It makes us stronger and I’d do ANYTHING to have him back! He’s not in pain anymore tho and he can’t watch our country go to shit. I’m just happy I got the time I did with him! 🥺🥺🥺
This song was me for about 20 years. Met the love of my life in 1994, and we dated for 9 months. I knew back then that she was the one, but we were unfortunately forced to break up. I lived the single life until 2014, when we reconnected, and confessed the feelings for one another that we never lost. She dropped everything to come be with me again, and we are now happily married almost 5 years. This time I swear I will never let her go.

I knew him since I was 15; knew I loved him since I was 17; missed him since I was 21 and got married to the one God planned for me to marry. Not a day and hardly an hour went by that I didn't miss him, love him, and pray for him just like I promised him. 25 years later the Lord gave us back to each other. Dammit Elly, that broke my heart 😢. I knew her since I was 12. We grew up down the road from each other. I always loved her but I was so afraid. I let her get away from me around 21 and lost contact for 15 years. I never got married despite being a 6’2 good looking guy…I just refused to settle for anything less than someone who filled my belly up with butterflies like she did. Nobody ever did. I never forgot and not a day went by. Then…I found her again. She was married and living just 3 miles away from me. I found out recently she always felt the same about me but was afraid like I was and it just never happened. I also found out her husband is a pretty emotionally and mentally abusive guy and she’s totally miserable. Broke my heart all over again to hear that 😢. I dunno what’s gonna happen in the future but if the chance ever arises….I’m going to sweep her off her feet in a way no Hollywood movie could ever imagine

My grandfather is in the hospital now he had a heart attack but they cought it just in time. It was not as bad as my dad's first one. I just hope my grandfather doesn't have another because I don't know what I would do because he could die. The options are surgery or meds and he wants surgery but if he has surgery he will end up in a home and never leave, I don't want that at all if that happens I will probably not get to see him a lot because I don't drive and I probably shouldn't get my license now. My grandfather is 90. I just wish he took his meds when he was supposed to so this wouldn't have happened so since it did happen I just want all this to be over and he is back to normal and nothing else bad happens. If he ends up on a ventilator and doesn't come off until he dies or pulls the plug this might be the song I will sing to him or I might just sing it to him now when he is not dying

I lost my husband back in 2008, even though he’s been gone now for over 10 years I still miss him. It feels like I just lost him today. I’ve been told it gets easier with each passing day, but it hasn’t. I’ve tried counseling, group therapy ...different groups and nothing helps, I’ve been given medications for depression but nothing helps like old fashioned crying does. Songs like this one reminds me of him and the love we had for each other, one day I will see him again. I haven’t found anyone to fill the void as of yet. This describes my situation exactly. I'm serving on my first deployment for the Air Force in a combat zone. It's tough being away from my husband and my 10 month old daughter both whom I had to leave behind. I still cry when I think about how quickly my baby girl is growing and everything I'm missing while deployed. The sacrifices military members make is unfathomable until you're there yourself.

Something that I've come to understand is that even though I can't hold her and tell her face to face that I love her, the tears I cry for her every day is the only way that I have left to express my love for her.

This reminds me of my dog, molly who died a couple years ago. She was an absolute angel because she loved to play and wanted attention everyday. She would sometimes be feisty because she wants to play or sometimes want attention lol. She died of old age and I really miss her. She died in the middle of the night and it was heartbreaking. My parents and I cried a lot because she was perfect and we have had her for a long time, we had her before I was born. Her grave is at my grandparents house so I can visit her pretty often. Reading your story for some reason made me think of my mother's rescue dog Chance. She was a pure Boxer and a total love bug. Sadly, she died of Addison's Disease a few years ago. I also thought of a story about Mike Bettes; a meteorologist for The Weather Channel. Many people remember how Mike broke down sobbing on air while covering the immediate aftermath of the Joplin, Missouri tornado on May 22nd, 2011 outside of St. John's Regional Medical Center. What they don't know is that following the disaster Mike Bettes adopted a Golden Retriever who lost her home in the tornado and named her Joplyn. Aww! Sadly, Joplyn died last year. While I was understandably saddened by this because I love dogs; I reconciled my sadness by reminding myself that Joplyn was adopted by a good man who loved her a lot.

Long ago a Chinese Man said LOVE is more than just words, it is the joining of two hearts. I can definitely identify with that fact. Some folks call it soulmates I do not understand ? To me it is heart mates. Can anyone identify with my feeling ? My soul, belongs to Almighty God. My heart belongs to my first love.... she was taken from me over 40 years ago in a car accident. I lost my little brother on January 10th 2019. I recieved the horrible news about my brothers passing. It hit me so hard i was not believing it. I screamed no.. Not my brother not my hero.. I got angry and mad. I just was so lost so broken.. I was alone. My boyfriend was at work. I called him and he was in shock. He rushed home. Showered and we headed to be with my mom. It still kills me inside. It was way to soon for him to go. We have so many plans still in life to do. We were supper close. He would csll me every morning and we would talk and have coffee over the phone. Mom and my brother lived together. I just can't shake that hes gone. Still feels unreal. He was always my rock he would drive anywhere to come help me. He was awsome with welding. Aint anyone alive that could weld better then him. I miss him so much i seat and cry. I know people tell me to move on and look ahead in life. But i can't get passed this. Please say a prayer for my momma angel, she in so much pain loosing her baby . A parent shoulden't haveto burry her babys. I know my hero will always love me and my momma and my sisters and half brother and sister. Please lift up my family in prayers. My dad died a couple months ago. He was the most incredible person I have ever known. His students sent me a book they put together. It contained his students accolades of him. It was 40 pages long. Everybody loved my dad. He was the most outgoing, friendly and interested in other people. He was incredibly bright as well. I am currently working on a project that will hopefully keep his memory alive for generations. I will never stop loving him.

When you've had to let go of someone you love more than life itself it's heartbreaking. Looking at your phone all the time hoping they'll call or text. Every time your phone goes or there's a knock at the door you're hoping it's them.

I just moved back in with my parents. I am only 19, life is not only a struggle it's also a down fall. I remember my mom calling me asking me how I was and I would say I'm great but inside I was broken and empty. I just didn't want to hurt or let them down. Not a day went by that I didn't think of them. I don't know what i would do without them. It's a dark and empty world if you don't have a head on your shoulders. Never take your parents for granted they welcomed me home with open arms and I love them dearly.

I had a similar situation Fiona, lost my much loved childhood sweetheart in a very bad car accident in 1983, my Micheal ,didn't lose a child with him but had wished we had a child together as I lye in the hospital for 6 months hurt seriously ,missing him greatly ! I still think of him all the time, even with numerous other obstacles in my life,loves lost,parents lost, everything lost ! He was 15 and I 17 just 2 wks prior ! But "NOT a day goes by" Sorry to you- I see u had children again and found love hopefully! I did too but lost my love,my youngest daughters father, to stroke ! He's still here but can not walk & his thinking has been affected, but we aren't together physically! Lost my Mom to cancer 6 Yrs in Nov, AGAIN NOT A DAY GOES BY & LOST MY Dad as well -ALOT of heartache for 50 but I wish you ALL NOTHING BUT THE BEST !

My dear...you have been through a great deal of pain in your life...I admire your strength to push on! I'd like to share with you something that gave me great comfort when I lost my dad ( cancer ) and my 26 year old son ( car wreck ) both in 2016. I was hurting so badly.....someone directed me to a free website called JW.ORG. At that site I found many encouraging videos.....some that even dealt directly with losing a loved one. But the MOST encouraging thing I found there was a little Bible study aid called: " WHAT DOES THE BIBLE REALLY TEACH?" anyone can read it entirely online......or if they prefer, a person can request a free copy be sent to their home. In this book are two chapters which gave me the BEST comfort and hope about my dad and my son than I could ever have asked for. One chapter is "Where are the dead?" and another is "Real hope for our dead loved ones." Everything in that book is supported by scripture.....and the hope it offers you wont find offered in a church. I hope I have piqued your curiosity enough to check it out for yourself....if you do....you will find a loving comfort about those in YOUR life that you miss......peace to you and your family!
