I love how in every Melee clip, the opponent is smiling and being a good sport (mostly). But in every Smash 4 or PM clip, you can see the pure rage in their face lol
I never played smash 4 since I started with ultimate, but watching vods of the tournaments, rage seemed like such a broken mechanic. I'm glad they toned it down in ultimate
That dash attack up b there was known at the time as a gimmicky samus combo that was totally di-able if you knew the matchup. Elegant didn't know that facet of the matchup and lost because of it. He deserved to lose.

Mr. Gyw down b is a bucket that absorbs energy projectiles, when the bucket is full, he can press down b again to release the contents, it is hyper strong, if it catches stronger projectiles, it can easily kill at 0, but it only absorbs energy based projectiles, so links arrows or any phisical object wont work
God the clip at 7:30 really just sums up smash 4 huh? Pyreeze doesn't really show any personal emotion, he doesn't look excited, he looks like he's looking at Elegant's horribly shocked face and nodding along going "uh... yeah", Then Elegant just kind of breathes deeply and does the same. So glad that game is over.
The reason the up-b's are instakilling is basically a mixture of 2 factors. 1, since the up-b moves the user so much upwards, multihit linking moves have a very high amount of knockup in the earlier hits to keep the player being hit in the move. Since you're supposed to still be hit by the next hits and then take a normal amount of knockback. 2, sm4sh rage (tm) So when you b reverse these moves or otherwise only get the one hit off with high rage, it makes an already high knockback hit insanely powerful, being able to kill at 0-20 percent depending on weight..
The Pop Off after the Elegant vs Pyreeze is always great to me. Pyreeze stayed so calm for the fist bump, put his controller down gently, and then freaked the fuck out. Dude even fell to the floor. That is so hilarious to me.
4:10 I think I've been watching this clip at least thirty times and the guy screaming at 37 and 36 seconds on the timer respectively never failed to make me laugh
I am so glad Rage isn't in melee or really even in ultimate. I mean its in ultimate but not anywhere near as bad as it was in smash 4. Thats some bullshit. This just shows how vastly different melee is compared to Smash 4 and ultimate. Melee is sick.
