Neuschwanstein has always been my favorite! The bed in the main bedroom, a hand-carved wooden replica of the castle, apparently took 14 years. Also the story of the castle, a sad story...

Chateau Chambord and Nueshwanstein Castle and Versillies Palace are my favourites 😍
Visited Edinburgh Castle about 32 years ago. Changed my 6-month-old son's diaper in one area of the castle and found a place to sit down and feed him in the small chapel. The castle was an interesting place to visit as was Holyrood Palace at the other end of the Royal Mile.

T h e last one is my favorite and I remember it from our trips back and forth between Italy and Germany as a child......every weekend we'd drive past it. I don't remember much of the interior as we came to the States just b4 my 7th birthday, but what I do remember was fabulous. 😊

Neuschwanstein Castle in Bavaria is my favorite, although I have been to Stirling Castle in 2015. I would love to spend a vacation in Neuschwanstein. It is amazing. Jeanette/Louisiana

Chateau Chambord looks like one I'd move into but its hard to beat Windsor for livability. I have been to Stirling and Edinburgh and loved them both. I think its between Chateau Chambord, Windsor, and your number 1-Nueshwanstein.

Neuschwanstein is definitely # 1. The most beautiful castle I have ever seen. You should take a look inside. The castle has some very surprising rooms. The owner lived only 6 weeks after the castle was finished. The interior is in very good condition.
Breathtaking! But I will settle for my 3 bedroom ranch home here in middle America.

I believe that the Romanovs imperial palaces in Russia are something that can't be compared.
Thought the Chateau D'usse in France was the inspiration for The Sleeping Beauty.
