There is the official Ultramarines movie,great cast of voice actors. My favorite fan created animation would be Helsreach,the Black Templars vs Orks on Armageddon (Ullanor to us Crusade survivors)😊
astartes is very good as is hellsreach which holds the other accolade of being the first animation team gw officially hired.
Murder Drones? At least the first episode. The series gets a little wonky after the pilot. Best to stop at the pilot and image your own story. It's not really 40K or model hobby related, but it is grimdark with a lot of gallows humor.
Warrior tier?
These chaos troops are Blood Pact,the Gaunts Ghosts series from Black Library introduced them. The masks they wear are called 'grotesques'.....the other chaos faction Sons of Sek wear the skinned hand of a sacrificial victim as a mask. Those chaos space marines were Iron Warriors,this was a great animation, can't wait to see the 'Cavill Project',whatever they do.....but i think,personally,that I'd love to see the Ghost brought to life,i believe,at a technical level,a movie about the Astra Militarum would be an interesting,relatable & achievable.40k & the Crusade/Heresy era offer so much in the way of characters,im sure in the grimdark future,there will be only war
For anyone wondering, this isn’t exactly an animation. It’s a movie built in a game called Arma, specifically Arma 3, with a bunch of mods added to it. The arma 3 modding community is insane with the amount of mods there are. So yeah not exactly a fully made animation but captured in game

Hello Angela.... This could easily be a 2 hour movie.. Shit.I would be glued to the screen. Yes. Some cool diorama ideas in that clip..

We also get to see some other armor than we usuely do. Like this a lot....
2:05 so its not traditional 3d animation in the sense of setting it up and rendering it out in like blender or something. its actually done in Arma 3. which im not trying to downplay it at all, a3 machinimas are a whole talent and craft in themselves imo since it does incorporate alot hand curated animations and scripts applied to alot of characters and environments along with alot of compositing trickery and alot of planning and execution which is cool. but its not necessarily as "hard" more or less for the scale part because id say thats where Arma 3 shines for this type of scaled warfare compared to a traditional software where youd have to render it out forever and worry about poly count and all that/constantly tweak it, then render again. Arma allows for real time recording and changes on the fly and a very high player/ ai count by default in game(ppl run 100+ player ops WITH similar amounts of ais on map too) with the Zeus editor and organizations made ops/missions. the Arma 3 & Warhammer community is a amazing has made hundreds if not thousands of high quality 40k mods already, so technically you could actually go and download and play with this stuff and similar scenarios rn if you wanted to, which i recommend for anyone that likes Warhammer, Halo or Star wars. Arma 3 is an amazing platform to explore these types of universes and id say this is a great example of that. the Arma 3 machinima community is really something special with their videos ranging from ww3 to zombie apocalypse scenario movies and the creator did a phenomenal job putting this together and giving this amazing machinima, truly showing the "massive war" side of 40k that not many traditional animations do and im looking forward to more from them and seeing you react to them ✊
