Sounds freggin good buddy gotta love the old navistar mechanical diesels rode on a 1995 Thomas built international DT466 mechanical and it sounded just like this because it’s muffler fell off ah it brings back memories
you know what, you're right!! Based on the red and amber lights in the back on top with the light protectors on top, it IS a Thomas! Now, Blue Bird I know, but Thomas buses are kinda new to me. I'm glad someone pointed that out to me!
Can't tell what it is, but if its an Internation Chassis then its going to be a DT360, or a DT466, sounds more like a DT360, and if its a Ford then its going to be a 5.9 For sure
No. The dt360 and 12v Cummins are the same size and have the same 12 valve design. But the dt360 is wet sleeve and has much thicker parts. It weights quite a bit heavier. Now they can use the Cummins turbo parts but its not recommended because the Cummins parts are usually too restrictive for the DT.
Look "joe mama" I'm not a diesel expert ok. 2nd I never said it sounds like a T444E, I said DT466 you know the 7.6l 466 cu in Inline 6 diesel motor mechanical version?
What an absolute beast of a machine. Exhaust sounds beautiful AND it spews smog. Doesn't get any better than that!
i would love to breathe in all that black exhaust smoke
You could get asthma if you breathe in too much black exhaust smoke.
Cancer*
@Furby Fan 2004 that's the point, he's trying to die faster
WHY
If my bus had sounded like this, I'd have been SOOOOO much more willing to get up in the morning...
I would have been way more willing to get up in the morning to the sound of THIS bus
Sounds freggin good buddy gotta love the old navistar mechanical diesels rode on a 1995 Thomas built international DT466 mechanical and it sounded just like this because it’s muffler fell off ah it brings back memories
For those wondering, this engine is an International DTA360 5.9L Turbo Diesel.
every bus needs to be strait piped.
Heck this is a Kentucky school bus son!
You can tell from idle. It is either a DT360 or 466...
wow that sounds awesome
if my bus rolled coal like this i would ride it for sure in the mornins and afternoons
you know what, you're right!! Based on the red and amber lights in the back on top with the light protectors on top, it IS a Thomas! Now, Blue Bird I know, but Thomas buses are kinda new to me. I'm glad someone pointed that out to me!

Man, that sounds SOOO GOOD
It almost sounds like a 1st gen Cummins lol
@@DarkBowser2009 i am a Cummins fanboy, and i can truly say this sounds BETTER! More like a big rig at idel

Can't tell what it is, but if its an Internation Chassis then its going to be a DT360, or a DT466, sounds more like a DT360, and if its a Ford then its going to be a 5.9 For sure
Bad Asssss
Blerp..... Bleeeeeeeeeerp
The redline was tight
what did you do put holes in the pipe =p sound's cool throw
@SeaSickDrop most busses are 5.9 ctd aka 6bt
what engine does it have?
its even louder from the tail pipe
that bus is prob. a dt360 for all you shit talkers. it was a popular engine, just a baby dt466
does this make it faster?
the bus sounds like a semi.
Busses usually have semi truck engines
The dt360 isnt a semi engine. It is a heavy duty engine but a semi would probably use dt466 or dt570.
hey, that makes sense to me, thanks.
Snoopy the ace Buses use medium duty truck engines usually below 10 liters. Semi motors are typically around 14 liters.
Do these D series motors have internal parts related to Cummins motors? all IH motors i work with just sound so close to Cummins series motors
No. The dt360 and 12v Cummins are the same size and have the same 12 valve design. But the dt360 is wet sleeve and has much thicker parts. It weights quite a bit heavier. This is a Navistar/Intl DTA360 or a Cummins?
@xxbal1inxx thats because school buses and other trucks are cummins
Nice, sound like a cummins
I think it souns better!
cummins right?
Vroom Vroom

It has to be a Bluebird TC2000.
dude that bus could make someone die if somebody was behind it
Imagine if my cousin. Was behind the bus she will not able to breathe
I thought refurbished school buses could not have student pickup lights and stop arms?
@joannjackson66 how?
@K1ll3rM4st3r hell ya

It sounds like a Cummins because there both made by Inline 6 not really surprising.
Look "joe mama" I'm not a diesel expert ok. 2nd I never said it sounds like a T444E, I said DT466 you know the 7.6l 466 cu in Inline 6 diesel motor mechanical version?
