I have to admit, several of those rocks that you didn't collect, I was wishing I could have. Thank you for taking us along.

Thanks again, I just started rock hunting two years here and totally enjoy it and I learn a lot watching you. I live on the Oregon coast, so I have got some nice Rocks and Agates, Jasper, also tumble. Such enjoyment.
Everyday is a blessing!😇
I LOVE ROCKS !!!! SOMEDAY I WILL TRAVEL NORTH NORTH IF CALI TO ROCK HOUND
Thank you for taking us on a hounding adventure! There are so many that wish we could be out looking for rocks right now, but the weather is too cold! You found a lot of really gorgeous rocks! I cant wait to see you cut and do something with a lot of the beauties you found. The various colors of the same material in that area is amazing. But the Green is always going to be one of my favorite rocks to find! Thank you for the lovely adventure, and the sunshine was really beautiful. This was an awesome quest! Thanks Nate!
Yay!! 😀 my very favorite hunts. All the pretty colors 💕💗💖
I just love all the colors! Rocks are amazing!! Thanks for sharing.
That bigun!Amazing!!!!
Hey, new sub here. I like how quirky you are. I also admire and absorb your knowledge. I used to hunt when I was young, then life got busy but I still collected. Now, I am very ill but I want to get our and gather again. I can't cut or polish anymore, not strong enough. However, I used to do wire wrapping and I was a major player in the antique, ancient and artifact bead scene. I still have all my equipment and a fair amount of supplies. I just started watching hounds after finding The Trek Planner. He doesn't collect from where he treks but it reminded me of years enjoying this beautiful planet and I got sad because it is limited to me now. So, I will go walk Indiana Dunes and at my lake and see if I can prove I still have it. I want to make a few boxes of rocks to share with the kind people of the hounding group to thank them, and you, for sharing.
Peace from an old Nana.
This is so sweet. I hope you’re doing okay! You’re finds are going to make some people very happy
Top job and thanks for sharing allways injoy keep up the good work tezza 👍 👍
Heck yeah! Jolly good trip my friend! I could stay here all day. I love chert the cream de myth is beautiful lol love the rock hounding! Thank you so much. Made my day.
I always have my towel with me.😁
Been thinking about you, because. It would great time to hit the beach’s. Everything has been churned up and thrown up on the beach. Good time to find some Nephrite.
That colorful big guy is one handsome hunk o' rock!
I just saw the big green rock is a fish or lizard, ther are carvings on rocks , especially around here , very tiny, they sit and write stories or maps, sometimes they have treasure maps on those rocks , the grooves can be the form of a mountain around 😊
Dude awesome video! The geology lessons are amazing. I loved learning all of that. Geogly on school, boring, being shown it while searching 🤯
I have so much green vhert and crazy caramel colored chert. Do you have a po box where people can send you specimens
Chert!
Thank you for the adventure. Your energy is soothing to watch , and I love how you explain things . Wish I could join !
My home sits atop of the last big dump of stone and dirt from the Wisconsin Glacier. It created the huge hill I live on over a hundred and thirty thousand years ago. I can just imagine what all hides under the thin layer of clay then soil from a hardwood forest. I wish I had given birth to sons along with my olny child, a daughter. Perhaps I could have infected them with the wonder of this beautiful blue marble and they would want to dig deep into the wall that was made by ice that waits underfoot.
Amazing!!! I love treasure hunting and looking for some gem stones!!! Thanks for the inspiration!!!!
Thanks a bunch for the adventure! I dearly love to rock hound!
Thanks for sharing your adventure.
I really like your videos so calm and lots of beautiful rocks! Thanks for taking us along, winter is too long in Maine.
The big turquoise brown chert reminds me of a hippo, would make a great carving!
Always a pleasure to watch and listen! And, it is true that you say droozy, so cool!😂❤
lol, from when I was a kid probably, reading it but not hearing it, and I think I just kinda like it that way more, cant seem to make myself change. 😅thanks for watching !!
Oh my!! Yes yes yes. Wish we all could be there. But this is good too. Still cold here but going out and found a deposit of drusy. I wear a hunter’s vest when I go out so I have both hands free to hunt😊
Ooooooo nice one wow look at that banding
Nice😀
Thanks for the chert lesson and more.. Beautiful day of hounding you had.
now to the mid heats of late June are the best times to wander these parts, then again in fall, July and august are brutal, and the rains and frosts are just ending, always got a spot in a gated free campground for you as home base in these parts, and garage for oil changes, showers, laundry machines. if it ever fits into the rout. hills north east of S.F. Bay.
So maybe it inspires you to figure our situation out in California, because we got alot of work in front of us , and I found 300 - 400 ships in Nevada 😊 so if your interested someday , welcome to the Pierce team , I'm alone kinda , struggling at the moment
Really appreciate your video, it was filled with interesting knowledge of rocks.
Awesome Green monster..Hopefully you show us a video of slabbing that beast...
Awesome video and finds! Yep got to check when there is black sand present, you never know!
keep it up
Beautiful rocks Nate.
Wow I learned a lot in this video! Thanks Nate 👏👏👏
Im guessing you're near Putah Creek. I live in the East Bay, and I used to think Putah, Berryessa area was a dead zone, meaning I never found anything substantial. Until I discovered an area near Knoxville. After getting a few years of experience you really gain a keen eye for the best of the best. These areas are full of some of the best mineralization I've come across between Winters and Clear Lake. I'm not going to give away my spots impartial in this comment section but I'm sure you know. I've been watching your channel for a few years and we hunt many of the same areas.
I also love the blues and green chert. It's beautiful. I've found some amazing pieces more on the jasper side.
I enjoy your videos. If you reach out, I'd be more than happy to share a couple of my spots with you. Happy mineral hunting.
Thanks
All I hear is Bill Murray , Caddyshack
This crowd has gone deadly silent. Cinderella story, out of nowhere, former greenskeeper, now about to become the Masters champion. It looks like a mirac . . . It’s in the hole! IT’S IN THE HOLE!!!
Not bad!
Muchas gracias amigo..👍🏾
Hi Nate thanks for the videos.
Just became a huge fan of yours. Been subscribed to other rockhounders and prospectors and you hit all the things that I feel and love. Wish I could go on a quest with you and pick your brain lol. I'm 60 years old with 10 rock tumblers and it's truly my life 👍Please keep your channel going and don't change a thing. I live in Medford, Oregon and hound all of Southern Oregon and the coast for tumbling material but need ideas for new areas here. Maybe you can help with your extensive knowledge 😉
10 Rock tumblers ! wow ! sounds like you know what you like ! its awesome to meet people with real passion for what their doing.. have you been down around immigrant lake area by ashland ?
Great episode and adventure Nate. Cant wait to see how some of them 'slab' up. BTW....at around the25:15 mark.. Your alternative thought was to leave it all behind , backpack around the world with two possessions and a Towel... is that sort of a Hichhikers Guide to the Galaxy type of program/plan? Quest On!
Awesome job man!
Thank you for explaining while your out there rockhounding. I was calling chert jasper and probably butchered more rock names. I was sadly misinformed. Definitely still a little green.
Thanks again.
Sincerely,
-Aztec Caesar
there is a lot of green jasper out there in the same areas. they can be confusing, I just look for the hints in its over all shape, you might be finding green jaspers.
enjoyed seeing the finds
Nice
That was great Nate. Reminded me why I got hooked on your videos when I started up rockhounding. And If you and your friend John want to check out the north side of Mt Diablo, old mines need exploring.
thank you for all the support my friend, its been a crazy few months as your aware of and just getting to the point where that sounds possible again, ill get back to you on by d.m. hopefully soon, just working through the piles that stacked up in life, talk soon !
I live 15 minutes from the north side, what mines? And what type of rocks will you find around here, new to this stuff and all I can think of is maybe Morgan territory ?
Awesome channel if you're ever in the Oceanside area love to take you on the river beds in camp Pendleton 🤙
25:24
Was that a Hitchhiker's guide reference?
A man should know where his towel is...
Dude love your videos. You have a calming effect with your voice that reminds me of bob ross. Oh just started rockhounding a few weeks ago and ive found my first piece of jade that is spectacular. After watching this video i can see that some stuff i have is chert. Thanks a bunch from north east Humboldt Ca. Hmu if your ever in the area. Ive been wanting to go look for some happycamp jade.
27:45 Nate, did you finally find a piece of nephrite?
Hello sir 😊 I don't want to explain to much , because you know way more then I do what's laying at the creek and around, I love rock hunting as well , I figured out that we have meny teeth, 🥚 eggs , and your 2 find sir was a half of a snake 🐍 or fish head, awesome find , all the bolders that are not machine broken, they are dinosaur teeth, you will see soon everywhere teeth, I promise you that , Stonehenge is a stingray and on top the rocks 🪨 are teeth, I believe 32 teeth, check it out , agets are the cuschen from the animal 🐾 paws , waxi kinda , ... I'm still learning everything but I figured that out for us collector's! Rugby are blood clots , Dimonds and Cristals are from the angler fish and that typ ,
Quest for fir…..go family guy!!

Iam in Washington state n I thought I found jade a few years ago but did not know how to tell n I know there is a white jade in Canada but not sure about here I live 50 miles away from mt.

Where in California is this creek?
Hey Nate I'm looking forward to traveling couldn't get anything in California, got Breckenridge co...and was wondering if you have any Hounding areas near there.. my sister has a time share so my space will sleep 4..
So frustrating that I couldn't get closer.
The reason I figured it out ,is I took one pan of the field dirt and took the rocks out , they was all teeth

I feel bad for asking but I can't get out much because of my disability but had to ask from 1rock lover to another have a blessed day mate send my love to the family as well I have learned sooooo much from you thank you for sharing n being you.
have ever found meteorite
I just movee from Auburn in Placer County to Oroville. I am a total newbie and would appreciate any advice you could offer as to where to start looking for crystals? Every local tells me " they're everywhere!" But i have yet to see any. In fact, the only quartz veins ive seen are on the sides of the mountain crumbling into the lake and are inaccesible. What stones should i be looking for along the feather river below the dam? Any tips are very appreciated
Those steep crumbling slopes by bridge that crosses hwy 7o, .....is sure spots...but steep must be xtreemly careful.
Just out of curiosity, is there a point/reason tonp rock hunting? Is any of this valuable or is this just for pleasure?
Ur rocks are the same as NZ rocks
Do you hear that ting when your hitting it. That tells you it is what your looking for
Hay there I’m a friend of a friend my name is Lady Bruce and would like to meet up.
U can found...some gold, n mine river...🏞️💎💎💎👑⛏️🪣
Your Bucket Filler was worth it all !
