Personally I really enjoy renovation tips shared by Singaporeans as they are way more advanced with high rise living. And I really learnt a lot from this episode.
See you guys on the next one:)

4:27 vibration is just a minor reason for the cracks, major of it is the coefficients of thermal expansion of different materials differ a lot ( especially wood material expands a lot ) , also the humidity. That’s why nowadays, the installation of the modern timber flooring always leave a tiny gap at the very end.
Anyway, thanks for all the tips. Looking forward for more this kind of videos.

The bed side lamp. We did consider about that but in view of the hassle we might shift the bed if we have kids so we forego that option. Supposed it is like the foreseeable issue at the dining table. Gotta be where is has to be without the freedom to shift around the furnitures. But we did do the dining table feature lamp. Awesome decision to add finesse to it. For the bedroom, one cheap
Option is to change the lamp to those with controllers, then yup it’s fixed without the hacking and wiring for 2 gang 2 ways :)

4:14 Hi, iherng, appreciate your videos and i learn a lot from you and others that from you, I’m a wallpaper specialist , that hair crack can just use board to cover up the wall, wallpaper cannot cover the defect, it will cause an air crack which will appears to be seen on wallpaper surface. Which will also makes us feel uncomfortable to look at it hahaha. Not recommended.

i do agree... those smart things sometimes not as smart as it should be.. In the end the "old grandfather's" way will still be the most effective way..

Try laminating the whole wall where the joint/crack is. Double-sided tape allowing some movement could be used as the bond to the wall

Laminating? Is it similar to wall panelling or wall paper?!

It’s just so much more convenient when we do the dishes. We can carefully separate out dirty and pre-cleaned ones.

For me it makes my washing easier. One side are the dirty dishes, the other side are the washed soapy dishes ready to be rinsed.
Another idea is to fill up the 1st sink to soak & scrub dishes, 2nd sink to rinse.
That's just me, not sure about others.

I am double sink user, but I would change to bigger single sink in future.
      1. Bigger sink can easily wash big item like soup pot or wok.
      2. I rarely use the second sink for washing. I put drying rack on the second sink, and use it as drying area after washing all the items.
