In the Destiny 2 community, I'm pretty well known for my PvP content and Trials of Osiris, but I rarely attempt any sort on PvE challenges, except the Day 1 raids. I wanted to change this, so I went to solo Season 17's dungeon "Duality". After a few hours, I managed to get the solo done, but I then decided to take it one step further and attempt the solo flawless. It was quite the experience... Enjoy!

Tip if you're a hammer Titan, always punch things so they don't give you knockback! A common mistake I'm seeing a lot of right now since everyone's trying the hammer out

I just subscribed because I feel the pain of this video so much. 2 days of nothing but forcing the solo flawless.
I've spent the last week trying this and finally got it. A couple tips/recommendations:
firstly, use lament for damage, u can easily 3 phase both bosses (which might be a little slower than something like cataclysmic but its waaayy safer in case u get hit off (this is the main positive). Something like lorley is also good if ur dying too ads a lot. (Solar titan is the way to go for this)
For first encounter try to dunk symbols in a way that the faster route is last. Jake briefly mentions this but for example sun has really bad layout for the Gahlrans. i found war beast to be the best one in terms of ease. This can give you longer dps. Also you can use glaive of dreams to extend damage buffbut personally i didnt and could still 3 phase with lament if everything went well.
For i used an eager edge sword for 2nd encounter seen as dps isnt a big deal and going fast is important, as well as erianas for the phalanx's (they killed me like twice). Also only do one symbol at a time in this place unless your going REALLY fast.
Put lions on for the jumping puzzle and just snipe enemies from afar to prevent accidental deaths plus a sword like eager edge for extra safety or skips.
In general dont kill belkeepers when ur near them (especially with explosives) unless your using hammers. And u also dont need to kill ads before you shoot the bell, if your tryna go faster.

I slowed it down, his riptide is well rounded and successful warm up with handling masterwork with major spec

What keybind did you use for charged melee on controller?
My favorite D2 CZcamsr and it’s not even close

How you do double RB for melee...i tried to bind it and it doesnt work for me
@@M8rc0P0l0 I’m on Xbox so i just set my controls to custom and i didn’t do the binding option i just switched it to double press for uncharged melee and single press for charged melee. When i did it the binding options were confusing me so i didn’t use them

I tried to two tap for the melee he was talking about and it didn’t work for me
You have to set you controller bindings to custom, set uncharged melee to double tap the button. And set Charged melee to the single press. Doesn't work on any of the controller presets. Has to be custom.

Bungie need to nerf the architect like real I run this with my pall and we on the part where we need to jump so I was standing still in one of the platform no enemy sighted because we already killed all of them and you know what for some reason while I'm standing still the architect killed me

Ah I see, strafe lift was your first mistake, ALWAYS catapult jump. Almost a bloody rule for titans at this point, it’s easier to feather that jump and get height if you need it.

I had to restart 6 to 7+ times in a row because I kept dying to knock back from ghalran and bell teleport bug bs ...u cannot shoot Telepor tquickly u have to stay right on the inner of bell or it can bug it its so odd I got my flawless clear but dear God Its the worst dungeon so much unfair bs that can happen. Bungie always disappoints anytime something new comes out u know it's gonna be terrible bugs etc.

I have done it Solo Flawless on my Hunter. Run Sixth Coyote and classy restoration. Ofc you dont have the hammer but i managed too do it in 1h 45m with 3 phase on Caiatl

so far, encounter 1 and 2, easy flawless, encounter 3, the chances of getting killed by a torchers back pack exploding goes up exponentially, had a nearly flawless run, caiatl had a pubics hair worth of health left, then she stomped and behind me in the middle bell, was at least 9 billion torch backpacks, ready to go, I took a long walk after that. Remember to consciously be aware of the damn backpacks, I swear, they either will kill instant, even with recovery, or they will tickle you, a gamble that Bungie has placed upon us. Also, I feel you on losing post master stuff, I had a stack of keys for xurs treasure chest, 40 extra enhancement prisms, 12 ascendant alloys, and 9 golfballs, 9 hours of doing practice runs through duality and then castellum to try load outs out, and not paying attention, a price I had paid dearly.
You can put both to one tap for your hammer and regular melee and it will still use your hammer first
but it is only if further away which doesn’t always work
@@100subsandilleatanonion7 No if auto melee is not bound it works with both of them on single press. Try it it's awesome.

every class has the choice to run solar restoration, he is just trying to solo it, not do a challenge run with a non optimal set up. Sunspots already lost the damage buff and now you want them to lose the restoration too? What would be the point of them then? They would be pointless, you could do the same thing with winters guile and the Warlock melee, or hunter knifes...
@@SenatorStink Comparing winter's guile to bonk hammer is a rookie mistake. You need a charged melee for the perk to activate. Warlocks do not get their melee back immediately after using no matter what you do.
@@agntclassified9682 You can use the fragment for melee energy on scorches and the scorch snap to keep your melee all the time. Watch CoolGuys video on it. It's wild. There's also the throwing knife for hunters, but you do have to hit a headshot with that one. Not a rookie mistake at all. it's pretty much the same build, just Warlock and Titan.
@@SenatorStink I have seen the build. You have to scorch multiple enemies to get your melee back, which cannot be accomplished during boss fights. There is a reason why no one did solo flawless duality using warlock mele.Titan all you gotta do is to pick it back up, which makes synthos busted AF.
Exploding backpacks on the floor and architects. Sunspots can't save you from that shit. You try a solo flawless and let me know how you feel when a random explosive backpack that is no where near you ends your run. Loerelei helps, sure. But it is not as easy as you think
Watching this as a Hunter main is sickening. There is nothing even close to this build in terms of power and survivability on Hunter. If you say omniocolus, show me a smoke bomb doing 50k on a boss, instantly regenerating, healing you, and providing restoration all at once. This build is so overpowered it's insane.

Pvp players are great at 2 things: Harassing developers and being bad at pve
Really nuts how everyone cries so bad about hunters or warlocks when Titan can just spam throwing hammers and play the game on easy mode.
Tbh I think Warlock is easier than Titan because you can’t die anyway with well if life and 100 resilience, but with the added benefit of having Icarus dash, which negates incendiary bullshit.

No wonder everyone is complaining about jetpacks all over the ground you guys are crutching on that dumbass throwing hammer. When i ran this on a hunter there were absolutely no jetpacks on the ground.
