Quite an underrated movie. I couldn't give a shit about car racing but I found this movie entertaining. Tells me it has something to it that it doesn't get enough credit for.
+Doug Masters if you only knew what went into a race car and race team... 43 teams do it on the highest level 36 times a year. Out of those 43 about 25 lose money. There are thousands upon thousands that don't hit the pinnacle of their sport but still do it with volunteer teams on a shoe string Ramen noodle budget. Watch a race on tv from start to finish or better yet go to yer local race track and actually pay attention to the race. Guarantee you wont have a bad time. who knew? ...from the time the film got out, NASCAR slowed the velocity of the bolides down by inserting some restrictor plate to the engine to reduce the oxygen-supply... ...an accident, where the car got first into the wall and then into the fences with still some of the audience left injured caused them to do so, because if the car wouldn't have been to bump into the wall first all of the there absorbed energy would have gone through the fence, that wouldn't have stood no chance to absorb the energy with severe disaster likely to emerge then as a consequence...
