I write this comment so you guys try that before doing anything in the video.
All of a sudden my TUF FX505DT wouldn't turn on nor light up the charging LED, I just disconnected and reconnected the battery and then it worked. It was weird.
I didn't finish to see the video, but I guess he goes into detail diagnosing some stuff.
I had the same problem with my FX506LH. The warranty covered it. So I sent it without resetting/formatting because I can't turn it on. The problem is to lose some files and stay a long time without my laptop. I should have read your comment because my laptop probably just entered a 'security state' after battery energy depleting. I just use it on the weekends. I bought it on 06/21. Well, now I just have to wait.
@@douglaspinto7556 well, my battery had somewhere 80% charge when this happened and it still had it after doing the reconnection, so maybe it was a false contact due to carrying it.
At least you had the warranty, hopefully they'll fix it soon!
@@douglaspinto7556 update: my laptop started to shut down unexpectedly as if it's losing power, although I can then turn it on. It's not under a warranty anymore and I don't have an official Asus repair center nearby... I've changed the thermal paste, used another version of windows with another SSD, turned it on only with the charger, and couple other things
Would you do me the favor to notify me if the Asus service fixed yours and if possible what they did? It will help me a lot.

@@jayeshkumar1960 sadly no, I kinda gave up haha, but still have hope on finding some third-party repair center that would fix it (I'm from Mexico, I guess if I go to Mexico City there should be a couple, but sometimes it is hard to find an honest one)

Mine whenever I try to turn it on flashes on the keyboard for 1 second and turns off. It does charge but nothing else. Do I still do this procedure?
No. This issue is not turning on and not charging. Your laptop has a different issue.

Good day sir what if the trouble of my laptop we have the same model is not charging but when i long press the power button the charging indicatior lights but after a few second it turns off.

I have the same problem. When I measure voltage on the battery between the red and black wires it is 0. Is that okay?

Hi tevz! I think, today i found the failure in a mini atx mainboard. One mosfet/transistor (AOD452A) and the capacitor next to that are shorted. I will remove the capa to check the capa and the mosfet. Both are close to the hot cpu. is it possible that thats the problem? at the moment: the fan is spinning immediatly but nothing is booting. i have no electrical experience but i looked over 2000 repair videos ;-). Hey I hope you can fix this man my sister gave me the computer)ASUS fx505g) it’s been left in her closest for 1 year and I ordered the AC adapter with all the same stuff since she lost it so I ordered a new one of Ali express and it won’t charge we saw if it was damaged and changed outlets and nothing turned it on and is it supposed to even show a no battery sign like in apple when you try to turn it on if it is it doesn’t it just doesn’t turn on and does not charge and we do not know why and if it’s the computer or the charger because she stopped using it because she lost the charger and the battery ran out and we just never got a new one until now so I need help and also just information on what could be happening with the charger or computer and how to fix it and I will be glad to give more information.

Yes I had Asus tuf laptop and it always had problems with heat since I bought it. It has fully died on me now.
Same. I had the asus tuf a 15 2020 Version. I had to change one of the fans and now it suddenly shutted down while playing cyberpunk and its not turning on and not even charging

@@Marupokk took it for a repair and they said the motherboard was fried and would cost $650 (New Zealand dollars) to replace because the Data storage was also corrupt. They literally told me themselves it’s not worth fixing for that price so I just didn’t bother. Sorry man looks like the only solution would be a motherboard replacement which would range between $300-600 NZD. I just will never be buying another ASUS laptop

Hello my ROG g15 turns off and doesn’t turn on when i switch off the power button while it is still plugged. Then after several minutes, it turns on. But it can be used as long as I unplugged it before turning off.

Hello, I kindly ask for you help... Is there some procedure you'll recommend me to solve this:
My fx505dt is turning off out of nowhere, I can turn it on , but it will last, in average, 20 minutes (sometimes only 5 and other times 50) and then it turns off spontaneously. The charger is giving the correct voltage without variations, I changed the thermal paste today and the last time was last year, I've checked with a different SSD to see if it was a software issue but it happens with both. I've turned it on even only in BIOS to track the temperature, but it does proceeds to turn off even at around 50 celcius.
I don't have experience diagnosing/repairing laptops, but I do have knowledge of related topics, electronics, etc., although applied to other engineering areas.
Please, at this point even what you may consider basic will help me, thanks a lot in advance.
Is the battery still ok? If the battery is dead already, there may be a connection loss at the DC input. Clean the cooling fan also the grill ventilator. This issue is hard to solve than if the laptop has no power.
@@tevzTVTevatronics I would say the battery is fine, it's charging and discharging normally and since the problem is still happening with the charger only, I discarded that.
I noticed in the BIOS one fan is spinning at around 5,000 RPM and the other 1,000 RPM, I will try your suggestion, thank you.
And yeah, I get this could be considered harder because there are many things to diagnose to start discarding possibilities.
Update: I borrowed a RAM stick from a friend and the laptop ran really good, everything looked fine until the next day haha. Now it is turning off in less than 30 seconds.
But if I don't put the RAM, the laptop starts and won't turn off by itself, although obviously it doesn't give video nor anything, but the keyboard, fans, and other LEDs are working, and it is energized, including the CPU since it gets warm but the fans are doing their job.
I still need to check both RAM sticks with another computer to prove if they are really faulty, but supposing they are actually bad, the problem is that something is making them go bad.
With your experience, do you know what should I target to diagnose?

What did u put on the capacitor with the brush after connecting it on the motherboard?
ceramic capacitor. 4.7 uf 50 volts
Bro my laptop is not turning on. I have sprayed a Colin on my keyboard means a chemical that cleans a component and then I turned off my laptop its rgb lights are blinking when I try to turn it on. I went to repair shop they cleaned the power b button it started working. They told go to nearest center for buying a new keyboard . after , 1 month it stopped working, I took it to service center they told me to buy motherboard of rs48000. Mine specs.

I have seen many asus laptop having this issue and even mind have this motherboard issue even service centerr told me to buy new motherboard 38000rs I repaired it in delhi but sometime my laptop won't start I just leave it charing and it automatically start some time

May nang yayaring ganyan, Pag nag ka short circuit ang mother board, pag napalitan na you shorted component, may tendency na mag fail na young charging circuit nya. malamang may mosfet na leak or the IC charging controller ang ma deferensia.

Pls help meh laptop model asus tuf 15. Problem with charging laptop work fine but as soon i start playing games charging auto cut for 1 sec then laptoo switch to battery and after 1sec charging start again and this loop start and this problem does not always occur sometimes laptop work fine for 30 to 50 mins laptoo charge fine if not playing games i bought new charger but problem still there what could be the issue ??

@@vnom4728 I was looking for a service center and in the end they fixed it in one day. They repaired the power circuits. I wouldn't have been able to do it myself. It cost me $50.

I have to. because I have not yet seen the faulty capacitor And is recommended to separate the main board if you are dealing with shorted rails.
