- Who doesn't love an archery challenge? The Total Archery Challenge or TAC is just that! So, since we are headed to Total Archery Challenge PA we decided we want to do a specific long range arrow build and wanted to see how the Easton Sonic 6.0 compare using the AAE Max Stealth vs DCA Mini Sabres.
In this video we do some group testing at 40 and 60 yards and show you how we tune and optimize our bow to gain maximum performance.
Tac arrows should be cheap and light. People get a dozen x10s and get too attached to them. I'm shooting eBay 350 shafts, 11 grain eBay inserts, 100 grain points, bhoning x3s, and Amazon nocks. 356 grains and under $3.50 per arrow. They're more accurate than me and I can get them out to 128

For tac :
With a 150gr glue in target point and carbon cut to 27.5"
You'll get between 405gr and 410gr overall weight with a 13% (ish) FOC...
Or go to 120gr tip for 375gr and 10.5% FOC approx
Still above 5gr per pound for a 70lb peak draw weight

Pse sells limb pocket shims that add 5# , cost less that 20$ and have worked great for me

Wouldn't you use a heap of helical on long range arrows???
I've found too much helical slows down the arrow at longer ranges. Your arrows are always spinning faster than they were a moment ago until they impact
@josephporfido2433 too much helical doesn't have the same amount of detriment down range, as too little!!!

This seems a bit unnecessary. I cam get over 100 yards at 275 fps and my pro comps.
