    The best thing about wallcreepers is that you can sometimes find them on the walls of old European castles.

    Anna's Hummingbird actually don't do much migrating. I have a male around my house year round. They're spectacular little hummers.

    • @pauraque
      @pauraque Před rokem +2

      They migrate in the northern part of their range, but yes every year they migrate less and less because of year round feeders. Definitely not a crazy migration. Like literally a couple hundred miles max and 99% don't even think about migrating.

      @@pauraque and @cliffhawley1768 indeed, they barely migrate... jajajaj, clearly didn't do my homework fully for this one! ;-) THANKS for the info and input on migration of these jems!

    I absolutely loved you guys in this one. The back and forth was terrific as it's such a fun video with lots of education! Also the fact the number one pink barbie you choose is a hummingbird I have in my backyard year-round.

    Hilarious! First of all, I have to say that I was very impressed with your guys' ability to trash-talk in a second language. Wow. As someone who believes in the importance of being able to poke fun at each other in a respectful way, I was super impressed with this and had a good chuckle at multiple moments in this video. Secondly, as you went through your top 10 Barbie birds, I thought of creating a 'Barbie scale' . . . what percentage Barbie Birder am I on this top 10 list? Out of your top 10, I've been lucky enough to see . . . Galah, Anna's Hummingbird (common bird year-round in Vancouver) . . so that's 2/10 Barbie Birder. I have also seen Wallcreeper on our overland journey from Tibet to Nepal in 2008, so I'll count that as 1/2 a point (seeing as it's a 'Honorable Mention' on your list), and I saw the Rose Robin, which is pretty close to your Pink Robin, so another 1/2 point (yes, I'm making up my own point scale). So there you have it . I'm 3/10 Barbie Birder. Some work to do, for sure! Who can beat that?

    • @diegoCOLbirding
      @diegoCOLbirding Před rokem

      well, tons of birds with PINK or ROSS on the name that barely exhibit some rose coloration... we thought on it, but man, having so so many more scandalous flashy pink birds in the world, the faintly/barely rose Ross's Gull was not going to make it to our top 10 ;-) - thanks for the suggestion tho!
