Just like at kentucky, he was surrounded by Superior players and Superior athletes compared to what he was facing. Just like at Kentucky most summer league teams aren't going to have guys that can guard at the NBA level. He had a good night. Without debate, he is not going to be taking guys off the dribble or facilitating regularly this year. I personally don't believe it will ever happen. But, without debate he is not a point guard.
His only and main flaw is hes short. That will always be a concern. But short guards if good enough still can thrive

I was curious to see how Sheppard played defense. If you watched the whole game and were paying attention, he got his hand on the ball quite a bit. Forced a turnover on Cousy, forced a shot clock violation, and stripped the ball around the basket more than a few times. Other than that, he played as advertised. He looked a little timid in the first half to shoot, but started getting comfortable in the second half, and played more loose. Looking forward to his development, and seeing him play more off the ball, as a recipient of the other playmakers on the team.
