4:27 because
1) unlike The Demon Seed, it's an on board effect linked to a minion, so the opponent can actually remove it;
2) unlike The Demon Seed, it targets random enemies, not the enemy face;
3) unlike The Demon Seed, it's locked behind Demon Hunter, a class that has NO self damage and, while it has some nutty card draw, it's nowhere near as crazy as Warlock;
I'm sure the Priest set will have SOME cards that will help Aranna out, but the fact that you have to pay the 5 mana tax ON THE SAME TURN you want to OTK will hold this back immensely
Main thing is you can make draw oriented deck (and demon hunter can be extremly good at this) and just deal billion of fatigue damage in one pop-up turn
@@sirdragdord701Thought the same thing, Warlock has entire game to poke his stupid face to get a reward and after nerfs it's not viable, while DH can even discount this minion with skull or any other effect and then dump his hand for some sort of wombo combo turn. And with priest cards he can BUFF enemy minion's health, swap it and kill it for otk, in wild he can win a game with Prince Renathol, Reno (the healing one) and Aucanaia.

important to mention, the tourist legendaries can't be put in other classes, for example aranna cannot be placed on shamman, tourists are for the class to use their tourist destination

Nah the tourist honestly seems balanced if it ever gets played in the first place because why do that when you can do pirate DH and do a bunch of face damage or play big DH. The demon seed was broken because it was a permanent effect. You play Aranna you have to pray it doesn’t die because the most damage you’ll probably get when you play it is if there’s a 8/8 on board but you’ll probably want to clear it instead of playing a 5 mana minion. It depends on priest if the tourist will be insanely good I think. I feel like this is one of those cards that everyone thinks is insane but when it drops the deck won’t be played
You can probably otk with it and fatigue
Just looked at what dh has in standard and you can def make an outcast sinergy deck with glaivetar and otk with fatigue. Use the 2 drop to consistently draw the weapon and use the caricature artist to draw Aranna and just mill/draw the rest of the deck.

Edit: how cliff dive works with reborn? If minion reborn does it shaffle back in the deck or treated as an intirely new minion?
@xpotoh356 I believe it would consider it a different minion similar to how if a reborn creature dies it doesn't keep any of the previous buffs the original had.

You don't need the weapon from Festival of legends, shaman can use the whizbang elemental which is cheaper (even more the mini version)

Demon hunter does not want paraglide, except for non-outcasted it can burn opponent’s cards pretty consistently 1-3 burns.

My man Rarran just ignored the fact that sand art elemental is a card and you can just do +1 and Windfury with 1 mana in Shaman. You can OTK turn 6/7 easy.

The last time arcane intellect was "good enough for its cost" was right before darkmoon faire when wild secret mage ran it as a T3 deck. With the release of rigged faire game for secret mage, the only other archetype that uses it are decks that reduce it to 0 along with all the other draw cards--like exodia mage--which are fringe rn.

How to play demon hunter:

Rarren discounting dangerous cliffs is crazy. It has the charge key word. WAKE UP!!!
as DH though, who doesn't have any board buffs, metamorphasis is in standard with a similiar amount of burn but isn't played at all. Shaman has one good board buff (+2/+3 to everything) but no real way to reopen the location in one turn. The card is bad, simple as.

Rarran Shaman isn't allowed to play the tourist for Demon Hunter. You aren't allowed to chain the tourists.
Personally I’m completely terrified by what shaman will be capable of with the demon hunter cards. There is legitimately so much synergy with the charge pirates it is actually unreal. Like there is the adrenaline fiend sure but also treasure distribuer and the new hozen roughhouser can be almost equally insane. Plus I don’t think sand art elemental was really mentioned it this video which can be a total of FOUR TURNS of windfury if you run two of them. Furthermore, because you can get windfury so consistently you can just run skirting death and turn the tides to nuke your opponent. Even with all this damage there is also a decent chance to simply out-tempo your opponent anyway with cookie and efficient early boards with cards like growfin and the new sigil so that’s just one more layer of insanity.
Also the location might have a better chance of fitting in because of sand art and patches will also just be an auto-include so I see no reason not to build around this package to some extent

Shaman has the element with mini that gives windfurry. Also shaman hasn't really hurt for draw for a while in my experience. Dh cards look good for shaman, but I'm not really a fan of aggro so a hope a enhancement shaman deck is possible
Demon Hunter Priest combo is the most toxic thing I've heard.
X2 dangerous cliff side, bloodlust is 16 damage, I'm sure there will be some bs otk
A bit sad that the Trial by Felfire allies (Karnuk, Shalja and Baduu) don't return since they become Demon Hunters later after abandoning their classes

The whole location and sigil into bloodlust isn't just "Disneyland" though. You're under the assumption you are just permanently on an empty board where you're obviously playing an aggro token deck. The location being on the board means anytime they don't clear your board they are just dead. 3 minions left on board? Here's 17 damage from hand out of nowhere.
The sigil seems good, the location is bad, expensive combo piece in what's supposed to be an aggro deck, just play any other good aggro card instead of trying to combo off
@SerechII I mean I agree. I do think that if anything the location gets cut, but the remaining token package is definitely playable. Depending on ratios of what is available you can probably also fairly consistently tutor the 2 drop with the steed spell as I doubt you'll have too many demons.
My only huge concern though is since it might end up being slightly slower than a traditional aggro token deck (6 mana for bloodlust or 5 for nostalgia) it might just lose out to Elemental Shaman which also looks very playable due to the elementals in the set and Skarl or whatever the legendary from badlands is called being pyroblast+.

how does this tourist work with fatigue? Cant you mill your deck with so many draws and you kill your opponent with fatigue damage with card draws?

my bet is that it'll be unplayable until they nerf the windfury pirate... because only Paladin, and maybe Rogue, will be able to abuse it.

Every class gets a tourist legendary card this expansion. Priest tourist allows you to add priest cards from this expansion into your deck. It means demon hunter can use priest cards

@@kamel450 yeah, dual class but only for class cards from this expansion and you can't throw other tourists in there, basically for this expansion cards came out for 2 classes at once and you gotta check which ones are paired

Dangerous cliffside is actually insane if you have coin
Turn 3 coin into umpires and swing
Turn 4 play location, summon 2 1/1s, swing with umpires grabbing shopper, get 2 more 1/1s, literally 10 damage in 2 turns AND shopper for follow up. This isnt even thinking about new patches and potentially even more 1/1 chargers, this class is so busted

play Dangerous cliffside and horn of the windlord. Next turn activate cliffside, smack face, activate cliffside, smack face, activate cliffside. Play bloodlust with 6 chargers on board for a total of 30 damage.

OMG, the three 1/1s next Turn are BROKEN with Shaman. The current Shamandeck transforms all of them in Legendaries or Ragnaros and you cant do anything against that.

-Effect is random
-DH doesn't really have self damaging cards (just 1 lol), while weapons require minions.
-DH doesn't have discounts/mana cheat of Warlock/Druid/Rogue
-At current state all theoretically possible combos are disruptable.
Devs has plenty of space left to make sure they won't F.up, _if they are smart enough_
The only problem I see now is that's a card that only becomes stronger with time, but it might as well see no play in wild, by the time it reach it.
@@xpotoh356 If there's a way to break Aranna it won't be through self damaging cards, it'll be through fatigue. Questline DH has been carrying the entire class in Wild pretty much since the Questline itself was printed. It faded into obscurity due to nerfs (mainly Tony rework) and meta changes, but it's still a deck capable of drawing all its cards by turn 5. Aranna has the potential to bring it back.
@@MmooshHThat's why I said that devs has plenty of opportunities of not screwing this up: DH already has the 2nd best draw in the game, so simply not printing new draw cards for a sertain amount of time is possible option (For standart it's simply possible to use old draw cards, which are still good)
That's the most obvious "fix" that comes to mind after 1 minute, pretty sure (hope) devs thought about more than that.
@@xpotoh356 Nah, is Blizzard, of course they will screw everything up because they never think about the consequences. Aranna is the priest tourist, so maybe they give them a bunch of self damaging stuff, specially seeing how her effect has nothing to do with the rest of the DH pack.
I do agree with you that at least DH doesn't have as much mana cheating as it had for many expansions, but they love to make DH as annoying as possible, so I expect that to come back soon.
I know its not true but i hope Eddy pitched this idea to the HS team & he got Blizz to pay for his full Bike licence

seeing Arianna, it makes no sense as why Buttons is a 5/5 with his garbage effect.. WTF ?
Climbing Hook is some booty cheeks. If you're trying to go face with a 5 attack weapon you are most likely playing some sort of aggro deck in which case "psuedo" infinite durability doesn't matter. In order for this to be better than Arcanite Reaper (which hasn't seen play in like 4 years) you'd need to get to turn 8....which you are probably better off going bottom right.
shaman has alot of good stall tools, there are two spells that deal 4 and 6 dmg each. I think the weapon is for shaman, with the windfury battlecry elemental.
@@DavidSmith-cr7mb why would I ever play this weapon in shaman when I can play Horn of the Windlord and dome people for double digits off any attack buff?
@@amethonys2798 because sometimes two horn of the windlords isnt enough when your pitching them with grimtotem buzzkill to find your hero atk up spells, and the four mana weapon isnt a good stand in as a late-curve finisher weapon in face shaman.

@@amethonys2798 there is a shaman list that runs 8 weapons, that does win games, right now at this moment, in diamond. needs a better weapon besides what shaman has rn though, and weapon discovers are too slow and inconsistent
@@amethonys2798 also those stall spells i mentioned have lifesteal, i forgot to point that out but that is actually pretty important when thinking about weapon-based decks. lifesteal minion removal for those pesky taunts? and conductivity? great!
