Xi told Blinken that the US and China should be partners, not rivals, and should seek 'mutual success', not to 'harm each other'. Meanwhile Blinken raised concerns about China's support for Russia's military. Bilateral relations between the US and China remain tense over issues such as the South China Sea, Taiwan and Beijing’s support for Russia’s war in Ukraine.
