- [FULL VIDEO] American music star, Stevie Wonder has officially been granted Ghanaian citizenship by Pres. Nana Addo Dankwa Akufo-Addo.
At a ceremony held at the Jubilee House today, he swore an oath of allegiance integrating him into Ghanaian society. He now holds dual citizenship in America and Ghana.

This man's (Stevie Wonder) love for our country and wanting to be/live in Ghana dates back to 1973, some 50 years ago, so this moment is very special and it means so much to him as an African descend. I also would like to express that our sitting president did such a great job by granting our African-American brother, the legendary American singer Mr. Stevie Wonder a citizenship on his birthday. That was beautiful and I say to our president, "what a great job you have done"!👍🙏
Wonderful to witness the sworrning of Steve Wonder becoming a citizen of Ghana, but many less famous diasporans have done Wonderful thing's in Ghana for years and shouldnot have to wait for more than 5+ years for citizenship.

Hmmm this diaspora folks are lucky ooo, they just handed citizenship just like that while we are here we go through the process first application, the immigration authorities responded by sending you all the documents that you will need to learn and prepare you for exams which there’s a certain % you need to pass. After they will issue you data for swearing in all this can take between 1-2 years hmm Ghana 🇬🇭. Don’t get me wrong I love Stevie wonder but this is a cheap process in Ghana
