Skinner from Ratatouille! I know he was a villain, but he's crazy and funny at the same time
Although I never thought of him as crazy, Christopher Lloyd’s Doctor Emmett L. Brown is my favorite on this list! I always adored the chemistry Michael J. Fox and Lloyd put into all three _Back To The Future_ performances.
I can say the same thing about the _Original Ghostbusters._
Another actor who, in my opinion, fits the title of this list is Eugene Levy as Dr. Walter Kornbluth in _Splash._ He was so insanely fixated on proving the existence of Mermaids that he kept dousing the wrong woman with water and getting the shit kicked out of himself in the process!
*“What a week I’m having!”*
Walter’s redemption arc in the movie was well written and, of course, exceptionally acted by Levy!
💚🤗🤗💚
You forgot Randy Quaid in Independence Day
Hey what about men who stare at goats !?
Walter Kornbluth in Splash should have been number 1. He was the only person on the planet that believed Madison was a mermaid and risked everything in his life to prove it. Everyone thought he was psychotic for believing in mermaids, but he was right all along.
Shut up
Agree!
"Oh, what a week I'm having!"
You forgot Chicken Little, who claimed that the sky was falling, but turns out it was an alien invasion.
And Fast Tony in Ice Age 2 where he tries to warn everyone about the flood.
@@samkresil6011 He wasn’t crazy though, just untrustworthy and arrogant 😂
Crazy guy in movie: "Do I look crazy to you?"
Literally everyone else: *Yes*
I would mention Russell Casse (Randy Quaid's character) from Independence Day. He was constantly mocked and ridiculed for claiming he had been abducted by aliens - until the aliens came back.
Not comedy
Always satisfying when the doubters realize the crazy person was right
The best part about "don't look up" was that I feel like nearly every plot point in the film could ACTUALLY happen seeing how stupid, greedy, and corrupt we are as a society today
- and so many say that Hollywood / film makers have to be part of the conspiracy (TM) to keep us unaware. Weird, eh? ;-)
When was Society ever not stupid, greedy or corrupt?
It is happening. Climate change
True, even I was surprised at the ending😣
Best part of that movie was when the credits ran.
Truman wasn't crazy tbh. Everyone lied to him except one girl who fell in love with him.
Yeah...that's the whole point.
None of these characters were crazy, that’s the whole point of the video.
@@nikki9125 Well, they sort of were. They’re all actors working for Christof.
@@nicholasheredia4235 I’m talking about the characters on this list. The actors weren’t the ones thought to be crazy, Truman was.
In case I don't see ya, good afternoon, good evening and good night.
Egon Spengler’s own friends/colleagues thought he was crazy when he said Gozer would be back.
These are all great examples of gaslighting in comedy movies, because most of these crazy people weren't really crazy, but made to feel so by everyone around them.
Kinda creepy right
No, gaslighting is intentional, most of these make sense
@@wakkopete But the gaslighting in some of these IS intentional. Truman is deceived by EVERYBODY around him. The Cabin in the Woods characters are controlled by the group unleashing the monsters.
Mixing gas and fire lights is never a good idea!
The sad reality is there have been so many in the past and still this continues today just not at such a high rate. Back in the day it was easy to prove someone was "crazy" or "insane" and the more normal the person tried to act the more crazy they appear. This was then used to reaffirm their "insanity" . It is scary because it actually happens in the real world not just in the movies. At one point in time all you had to have was some type of deformity and your parents could have you committed as being insane or crazy and everything you tried to do to prove them wrong only served to give them more ammunition to keep you admitted. That's why these scenarios so easily get under your skin.
Walter Kornbluth (Eugene Levy) in "Splash"(1983) kept trying to expose Madison (Daryl Hannah) as being a real life mermaid. He's written off as crazy and even dangerous, but eventually he does prove it, to everyone's surprise. "BEHOLD THE MERMAID!"
'Back to the Future' and 'Ghostbusters' is still two of my most favorite movies in 1980s.
You have great taste in movies my friend.
They are quite nostalgic aren't they? 🥰
@@aceofpittsburgh Thanks.
@@aceofpittsburgh I do think Ghostbusters looks dated but I still like the film. Actually both are flawed films though Ghostbusters is more flawed,
@@darkstarmoonshadow8892 80’s films do tend to be like that.
The 'crazy person' is almost always right in every situation, because we live in a crazy world. lol
I know it had a decent and somewhat happy ending, but The Truman show was totally horrifying. I mean can you imagine growing up your entire life and then finding out you were just being filmed and everyone you knew and met or completely fake?
If my friend started telling me about strange things that happened on their camping trip, I would believe them.
Absolutely.
Unequivocally.
I've seen too many movies over the last 30-plus years not to. 😂
(Friday the 13th, Evil Dead 2, Blair Witch, Sleep away Camp, and let's not forget Deliverance.)
"I don't want to be a pie I don't like gravy " 😂 has to be one of my favorite movie quotes
Crazy person warns others-other people laugh
Thing actually happens
Crazy person: “Who’s laughing now”
I'm sure Doc Brown was not crazy... he was just passionate about science
Sarah was lucky nobody apparently thought she murdered Alan.
How is Ken from Bee Movie not in this list? He's an antagonist and looks crazy yet he was the most sane guy
Truman show was really great, it also show how good Jim Carrey is at acting
How didn't even got nominated for an Oscar for that one is beyond me.
John Goodman in 10 Cloverfield Lane I was certain would make the list.
I expected it too.
Unless they figured that it wasn't a comedy. Maybe he's on the horror list. I was definitely shocked when he turned out to be right all along.
@@wvu05 No, you're totally right. I forgot it was limited to comedy.
I think he should have been on the list too
Russell Casse from Independence Day. For years he said that he was kidnapped by aliens, and he was right. The funniest part is, even after everyone knows that there are aliens, and they are all organizing a counter attack, Russell again says that ever since he was kidnapped by aliens he's been dying for some payback and everyone *still* looks at him like he's crazy, because that's just the knee-jerk reaction, lol!
Chicken Little for sure should be here, and maybe Woody Harrelson’s character from 2012
Jim Carrey deserved an Oskar for the Truman Show. Great work!
Totally missed on Roy Neary in Close Encounters of the Third Kind.
and the psychic lady from jeepers creepers
Hardly a comedy. If it was all genres, Sarah Connor - T2 would be on it.
@@fep70 Kyle Reese from terminator one would be a very good one then.
I think it's just for comedy movies 🤔
@@JuanitoMR you're right, missed that part. No wonder I thought this list was whack.
Truman Burbank is one of my favorite characters ever and Jim Carey is phenomenal as usual.
While it was only an Honorable Mention, I'm glad they put Crazy Carl from the first Sonic the Hedgehog movie on this list. The title character even mentions in narration that Crazy Carl was the only one in Green Hills, Montana that was on to him. Crazy Carl got his moment of vindication when Robotnik's pursuit of Sonic brings both of them right back where the chase began via Warp Ring. Only in full view of witnesses near a few restaurants. Local law enforcement, along with Crazy Carl and other bystanders took Sonic's and Tom Wachowski's side with Carl busting out a chainsaw. Not sure if that was a cliche weapon or not.
You have any idea how many people think they're in the Matrix or in a version of the Truman Show ?
These movies messed people up
Yeah that's how some of these woke my, talk and think that their is an alternate reality besides their own
What? You think all this is real?
The stories didn’t mess people up. People are messed up and a story gives them the excuse to believe their delusions. Many people claimed that Malcolm in the Middle reminded them so much of their own family that they were convinced they were being watched.
Finally, a WatchMojo list I can relate to.
Charlie Frost from 2012. "Always remember folks. You heard it first from Charlie." It had its comedic moments.
You forgot Rowdy Roddy's character from 'They Live.' If you are going to use Cabin in the Woods as a horror-comedy then They Live should qualify as well.
Great movie from John Carpenter's golden age.
Best ( non martial arts) fight ever filmed...
The bubblegum ass kicking line has got to be the best thing ever uttered in a movie.
@@staceysturgill846 That line pops into my head every time I go to the bank. I hope whomever wrote that line got a Xmas bonus or something.
I've always said that if someone came to me visibly scared out of their minds, especially a kid, I'm going to believe whatever they're telling me
“The Truman Show” and even “Elf”, are some of the best movie’s ever.🙏
What about Russell Casse (played by Randy Quaid) in ID4? Even when the aliens actually showed, everyone STILL thought he was crazy.
To be fair he was
ya, I never understood why they kept making fun of him with giant UFOs hovering everywhere.
@@slipknot6789 because if someone says they were kidnapped by aliens the first knee-jerk reaction is thinking they are crazy :p
@@breannalarsen8871 ... I get that. But what I'm referring to isn't their first reaction. It was when actual aliens ate right there in their faces. And they're still roll their eyes at him.
@@slipknot6789 yeah, I know. Especially when they are literally a bunch of pilots suiting up to go after the aliens. But, it's so deeply ingrained, they just can't help themselves. I find that funnier than him!
10 Cloverfield Lane? He was crazy, but he was right about the invasion.
That movie was not a comedy. But, I agree with you. I'm sure they already made a list that includes any movie genres.
@Can’t Live With Em I think it would have been a better film if it wasn’t part of the Cloverfield franchise.
🎵Stiflers mom has got it goin on🎵
Marty wasn't "crazy", he was just stones
The Truman Show is one of the best movies I've ever seen. It REALLY gets you thinking.
Agree!
Truman wasn't crazy in the end. He was a victim.
Yay lol love these videos 😊💙
‘The Cabin in the Woods’ is still one of the best movies in 2011.
Still? Are there new movies from 2011 in production?
I would like to add Zenon Kar, from all three Zenon movies.
She was correct in all three movies, yet dismissed - mostly due to her age and the ignorance of the adults (at least her friends believe her from the second movie on).
What's even worse: Even though she was proven wrong in the first movie, she was STILL dismissed in the second one.
And again: Proven correct AGAIN in the second movie, she was AGAIN dismissed in the third movie.
If you say Crazy People can be right, They are just too obsessed and drowned into one thing seeming unnecessary or Ignored on.
Good list
The character Honey Mustard was right after all.
THE GREAT BEYOND WAS BS AND THE GODS (simply known as humans) WERE MONSTERS.
‘Sausage Party’ is one of my few most favorite animated movies for older teens/adults.
I love this!
I couldn't sit through it (nor most of these movies) but does "Nurse Betty" fit this catagory. It was hard to believe anyone would take her for a sane person when she was clearly nuts.
Even though it's a TV show I just have two words. Fox Mulder!
I saw the Movie!
Kate & Leopold ☝🏻 he really was from XIX and nobody believed him 🙄
I like THE TRUMAN SHOW and the honorable mention of CHICKEN RUN. I also love JUMANJI, RATATOUILLE, ELF, and the honorable mention of SAUSAGE PARTY.
Paul Finch, the fictional 18 to 24-year old teleiophile in few 'American Pie' movies.
LOL
Paul Finch was an openly teleiophile character since the first ‘American Pie’ movie.
The Truman Show was so unappreciated during its time!
Top 10 movie vilains who get the “mcguffin” but lose in the end
Randy Quaid's character in "Independence Day." Which isn't just a comedy, but still had some very funny moments in between all the sci-fi.
That's my pick, too! For years he said that he was kidnapped by aliens, and he was right. The funniest part is, even after everyone knows that there are aliens, and they are all organizing a counter attack, Russell again says that ever since he was kidnapped by aliens he's been dying for some payback and everyone still looks at him like he's crazy, because that's just the knee-jerk reaction, lol!
@@breannalarsen8871 Yeah, that drove me nuts that they looked at him like he was crazy. They know aliens exist now! 🤣
Probably because they're not crazy, and there probably the only ones in the movie actually making sense, while everyone else was just 🤪
Man I love the CAPTION! 🔥❤️
I just love how James Franco was right about everything in the interview
^^^^^^^^^
What about Horton from Horton hears a who? At the end Everyone finds out that Horton was right that there really was people on the clover.
What a strange list...
"In case if I don't see you, good evening, good afternoon, and goodnight"
Befor watching, obviously Truman show. Also Independence Day and 2012
After watching, you guys totally blew it
God the Truman Show is so good
normal person: is that a guy getting killed by a fucking psychopath?
Crazy person: Don't Go!! You'll be killed!
Normal person: Lets go check it out. What could go wrong?
watchmojo is gradually getting really specific with time
its because they're scraping the bottom of the barrel
Mr Tweedy in Chicken Run…Classic!
How about the greeter at the restaurant in “Ferris Bueller’s Day Off” when he says: “I weep for the future”.
Walter Peck had some right too, yes, he was wrong in acussing the Ghostbusters of con artists but he had legitimate reasons to think they were dangerous and a possible treat to of environmental impact, Even the Ghostbusters acknowledge the dangerous of their equipment.
Still, he was an idiot for forcefully shutting down what he knew to be dangerous machinery, especially after being warned about it. Even though he had legal authority to shut down their operation, and to be fair their stuff was far from following proper safety procedures, he still should've brought in experts to handle the job of dismantling their equipment.
I was actually thinking of Guy from Galaxy Quest. as well as O'Connell fom the Mummy series.
Horton hears a who, is one great example.
Nice one. I didn't think of him
And yet again, the King of Canada is #1. How does that keep happening on a Canadian-run CZcams Channel?
U forgot about chicken little! “ThE sKy Is FaLlInG!”
This should've been a Top 20
Where is Roddy Piper from They Live, or the “crazy” kid from the first Scream movies? I just remembered Randy Quaids character in Independence Day
I wanted to say Bruce from 'The 6th Sense,' but he just wasn't there.
Evan Almighty? Perhaps the drunk from Independence Day.
10 Cloverfield Lane doesn't even get an honorable mention?!
John Goodman: Am I a joke to you?
the principal from ferris beullers day off is a good one too
Since they were right, they weren't crazy just more observant and realistic
Finch: 🎵Stifler's mom has got it goin' on! She's all I want and waited for so long! Stiffler can't you see? She's just the girl for me! I know it might be wrong, but I'm in love with Stiffler's mom.🎵
Amazing video
I love most of these movies
You missed Randy Quaid's character in Independence Day and Richard Dreyfuss in Close Encounters of the Third Kind
Those aren't comedies.
Swartsenegger, "I'll be back".
Most of these miss the mark. The crazy one in the movie is a supporting character that most other characters ignore because of their thoughts on some plot point. With Buddy the Elf, Doc Brown, the Ghostbusters, Truman Burbank, the kid in American Pie, and a bunch of the others, we knew that they were right from the start that they were right because we are seeing the story from their perspective.
Jamie Kennedy's character in Scream is a better example. As is Randy Quaid in Independence Day. Al Gore was a crazy guy in South Park, but then Manbearpig turned out to be real!
On Walter pack. I just love the fact that in the video game from 2009 I believe, Walter pack turned out to be a follower of Sándor and Gosar. So he was an evil cultist. Let the counselor role with that folks
If it were anything but comedy, I’d say case 39 was missed. Maybe the next ‘crazy person correction’ list?
Jerry Fletcher-- Conspiracy Theory.
Sarah Conner-- all the Terminator movies.
Kate: Oh, just wait a minute! I am NOT crazy!
Chief Brodie Jaws 2 opening fire at a crowded beach shooting at waves doesn't get much crazier then that.
Don't forget Louis Tully also in Ghostbusters, After being possesed by the keymaster the NYPD pick him up figure he's crazy and since he is ranting about ghosts and demons drop him off at the Ghostbusters fire house for them to check out before locking him up in the loonie bin. Then he gets turned into a dog and asked if they can take a small piece of his brain out to study lol.
@DrakesossDragoon I saw this flawed film so many times that you’ve only got this partially right.
This scenario is the Casandra effect.
Buddy isn't Crazy.
He was Literally raised by Elves.
He only Seems Crazy.
Surprised Independence Day wasn't on here.
What about RP McMurphy in “One Flew Over the Cuckoo’s Nest”?
I really thought Mel Gibson's character in "Conspiracy Theory" was going to be number one.
Russell Casse from Independance Day shoud've made this list.
"But still I fear, and still I dare not laugh at the madman". ~Queen
Sara Connor Terminator 2. She was literally locked in an asylum because people thought she was cazy
