    i wish all the efoil brands would offer adapters and you buy your own wing and tail , imagine being able to bolt an art 999 or ha925 on there with a nice speed 180 tail , its a big put off to be stuck with the oem foils

    How about making the wing like an f-15 so you can have it change shape for different purposes. Is there a company working on this yet?

    Just rode the fliteboard today. It rides very nose high. Going to try your shims. It makes a high pitch whistle when riding. Can hear it all the way across the lake. My lift 2 is much less noisy. A bit disappointed in that. It does have better safety features and fit and finish is excellent.

    Flyer 800 with 245 tail and 0 shim has been my go-to for wave riding along with Ultra/Nano. I also have a Sport battery and regularly get often get 100+ waves between the two. Picking up a Cruiserjet 1500 this week for smaller conditions and wake riding where the Flyer doesn't have enough lift. Flite makes a solid product but it does take some time to upskill for wave riding, even for a long-time surf shortboarder.

      @@WakeThief A friend gave me a 3D print of one of your front/rear shim sets. It felt good at first but I could feel added drag when wave riding and it required more back foot which is a challenge for my aging right knee. I couldn't see an indication on the shims of the size so maybe it was the higher degree.

    • @WakeThief
      @WakeThief  Před rokem +1

      Thanks for the feedback. Just one on front and one on back. It would increase drag somewhat (front wing only) though when cruising the drag wouldn’t be observable (bigger sources of drag than front wing) but I could understand the wave riding … especially if speeds are a lot higher than wake riding (10-12mph). I’d love to try wave riding one day!

      Developing the skills to take it into waves is my goal. Probably small waves. I have a Pro 2.2. I just changed from the cruiser 1100 I started with to the Flow 1300 (I am 210lb 6'3") because it is supposed to have more glide. What is the typical speed when you "catch" a wave on foil.

      @@millerivanamaccom Wave riding on foil took me a few dozen hours of learning. Getting behind a boat is good way to start. Its totally different kind of wave you're looking for - nice (unsurfable) rollers. I've hit 25mph a few times, generally upper teens.

    I'm still waiting on my Indiegogo eFoil called the XFoil. They sent me my batteries a couple weeks ago. They have a basic efoil for $3800 and a upgrade model for $4700. They claim that once they go to full market it will be $14K.

    Nice review as usual. Couple things, there is no way to remove the impact vest from that link and there is no way to change to or add a flyer 800 if you come in through the main site and order the pro carbon classic.

    Do you think the fliteboard is also easier to learn on than a waydoo?

    • @WakeThief
      @WakeThief  Před 10 měsíci +1

      I don’t think so. The waydoo has a nice buoyant board and flies quite level.

    Hey I was looking at a sale on this foil "Slingshot Hover Glide FWake V3 Foil Set" which I saw has a gamma 68 which you had in one of your videos. It looked great I just had a question on how well it fairs with dock starting and trying to catch up to wakes and what not.

    • @WakeThief
      @WakeThief  Před rokem

      Gamma 68 is too small to dock start but great work big wake surfing. Infinity 99 is the best slingshot hoverglide wing for dock starting. Good luck!

    Hey just wondering aboit your dock start and pumping and how thats going? I heard pumping with a hydrofoil like the axia 1150 can cause damage like fractures? Have you had any issues?
    Thanks

    Thinking about purchasing either the Waydoo FLYER ONE+ with Explorer 240 wing or the Fliteboard Pro with Explorer battery and Cruiser 1100 wing. Which battery do you think will last longer? Leaning towards the Fliteboard Pro but is it really going to last that much longer?

    • @WakeThief
      @WakeThief  Před rokem

      Please check out our waydoo review. The explorer battery at Flite has longer duration. I would guess it’s 30-60min more depending on whether you choose a jet or trueglide. If you If you have any further questions, please reach out directly. Wakethief@icloud.com. Happy to help!

    What are your thoughts on the fiberglass boards?

    • @WakeThief
      @WakeThief  Před 9 měsíci

      I think it’s fine. But please be careful putting in into and out of the water to not scrape, no matter what hard board you have. A rubber mat works great.
