  • Together with our friend Ángel Vidal from Jara y Sedal magazine, we traveled to the Swedish town of Mitandersfors in mid-October, nestled in the middle of deep boreal forests to attend the traditional @normaprecision moose hunt and test the new ammunition of Norma Silencer series.
There, in the center of Sweden's most legendary elk territory, deep in the forests of the northern province of Värmland, we would stay for the next three days.
The next day we traveled to the town of Åmotfors, about 20 kilometers from the Norwegian border, where in 1902 the Enger brothers, from Oslo, opened Norma's first office. Its current factory is located here today. Built in 1967, the year in which it had a staff of 530 workers who manufactured 64 million cartridges per year. From its beginnings, Norma's business was focused mainly on the production of military ammunition and for rifles, until in 1950 it began to export hunting ammunition to other countries. Throughout its 120-year history, the company has passed through various hands: FFV (1979), Dynamit Nobel AB (1990), Ruag Ammotec AG (2002)… Until this historic 2022, in which the Beretta Holding group has acquired the RUAG group. Today, 100 million cartridges in more than 100 calibers for hunting and sport shooting come out of its modern factory every year.
In this video you will see what the most traditional Scandinavian hunting is like and what are the secrets that are hidden in the largest forest masses in Europe.
