I been wanting to start from step one doing some catering from home on my weekends off and free time. Then progress to a good truck over time. Can you make a video on how you started from the beginning? That would be awesome!
Outstanding! I love seeing small business making it.
I want to open A BBQ Pit in Cowpens in Remembrance of my dad. Charles peewee hopper memories. He loved people music 🎵🎶 and food
Brother I appreciate this video. I'm in the process of doing something similar. I just got the price for a metal building about 3800 sqft. 900k. I just about lost it. You just helped me find some perspective. Start with something small to create something big.
7:52 girls doing graffiti is soooooo dope! great video filled with plenty of knowledge
Your advice it home with me at the perfect time in my culinary journey!!
Excellent advice. I have been in this industry for forty years and you are absolutely correct. Thank you for sharing and I hope anyone thinking about opening a restaurant, catering or food truck will watch your video. I wish you continued success.
Some fantastic advice, organic growth is the best. I started my BBQ truck at the age of 51, day of my first event covid closed us down.. setup in my drive and sold to the neighbours.. eventually want my own small shack, BoB sit back plate of ribs and chill, nothing fancy just good honest BBQ and friendly service. Im self taught too worked in the City trading for 30 years! Well done in living your dream
Words of wisdom for anyone going into any business. Thank you, sir.
Thank you I feel like I was looking in the mirror. I to am a construction project manager, have a business degree in project management and love grilling.
Thank you. I needed to hear this. You are so inspiring. Keep up the great work. The next time I’m in PHX I’m gonna check you out!!
That book is literally a staple in my life
GREAT! Advice, I will be taking using it when I head back to Kenya, thank you.
Very nice Video Trapp House BBQ, extremely helpful for a guy who's starting his own BBQ business. I am that fellow with the new and different flavors, winning BBQ Contest after Contest and people begging me to start a business. God Bless you and thanks for all the great advice. I'm a Georgia boy lost in Minnesota, the women love me while the men envy me cause I have all the flavors they wish they could beat. And I'm loving every minute of it. Good luck with your restaurant, I'm sure you will do great..
Can’t wait to visit sometime!
I’m inspired Phil. Thanks
Thanks very much for sharing! I want to start an American BBQ joint down here in Australia. I have a real talent for it and picked it up pretty much first go. Lots of people always ask me to invite them over for Low & Slow Smoked American BBQ. I’m thinking I might just cook a couple of Briskets and Pork Butts on a weekend and advertise online that they’re for sale and I will deliver them hot to their houses on a Saturday afternoon or something? I live in a big town so selling 2 briskets and 2 butts on a Saturday should be achievable.
God bless, thanks for the knowledge and the mentoring 🍻

People left because you take advantage of your employees. Pay more. It goes a long way.
Awkwardly walking around towards the camera was super off putting
