6:30 He hadn't seen Jamie in full costume and make up before that so that reaction was genuine between him and Jim Carrey. Made this part 10000x funnier
Yo for real I was just about to say Jim Carey and David Alan Grier had to be laughing for real. The way he was hitting her with the juke move to keep from shaking Jamie Foxx hand. Shit was hilarious
This was the first Wanda sketch. In rehearsals Jaime Foxx was not "dressed up." This was the first time they all saw Wanda. The reaction of David Alan Grier especially was real.
Yep, I can imagine. I was in middle school I guess when it started. I didn't start watching it until 5 people or more students in the classroom couldn't wait until they got to school to talk about it. It will always be one of the best shows ever
It wouldn't have been allowed on television back then, if it wasn't in the script. There are laws you're unfamiliar with, but you "know" better, right?
I grew up in a great era. My Brother use to do the Wanda lips and still does and it never disappoints. It was like an event to watch the Cosby show, Martin, Married with Children, and In Living Colour. This skit was fuckin hilarious.
@@TheDivayenta My favorite Bonita Bottrell line is when she talked about a particular woman. Bonita said, "That woman is so nasty. She uses an odor eater for a panty shield, but you didn't hear that from me." Bonita is one of the most hilarious characters on that show.
Always thought DAG and Phil Hartman were the same. Both could carry a sketch, so versatile, glue guy or straight guy. Crazy DAG never found a platform to be the the alpha and maximize his talents.
I remember watching this skit the night it aired. I fell out that night and I couldn't stop laughing. It's one of my favorites from the show. Too damn funny!

Before Chappelle show we had In Living Color ... if you grew up in the 90s this was on Sunday nights and this would ve what everyone talked about monday morning at school or work. Love the classics
Poor Tommy Davidson always gets it in these skits. Whether it be Wanda after him or getting liquid poured all over his head and them having to do the scene over again (I think that was a Homey the Clown skit). LOVED this show back in the day and wish the Wayans brothers and sister Kim would get back to it again. This is where we first saw Jennifer Lopez as one of the "Fly Girls". Love watching you guys cracking up - it makes it even funnier!
In Living Color was lightning in a bottle for sure...the only competition was maybe the early days of SNL...Mad TV made a run, but nothing will ever compare to In Living Color, and the fact that they fearlessly made fun of everyone.
@@kingcassius2586this one was the first one. This was in S3 E1, and Jamie Foxx joined the cast in S3, along with Kelly Coffield's husband, Steven Park
Great nostalgia. They Don't make shows like this anymore. This was back when men could dress as women with pushing an agenda. It was just all fun and games 😂
You know both Jim Carrey and David Alan Grier broke character…that was the best 😂

I didn't think it was. I thought the blind date one was, but you're absolutely right!!
@@Jason_Van_Stone You're correct. This is the 3rd or 4th Wanda skit. The 1st was the blind date skit.
Oh I didn't know that!!
Lmao no its not this is like the 3rd or 4th Wanda skit. Why say false information and pass it off as fact?
This was not the first Wanda sketch
That “Holy crap!” from Jim when Wanda first comes out is so damn perfect 🤣
The fact you don't see Jim just hear him is what makes it so funny to me.
The story is that none of the other actors knew what Jamie looked liked so their reactions are authentic
Agreed! 😂😂😂😂😂🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣💯
😂😂😂😂😂😂 My first noticing him saying that
In living color was the best. The greatest group of talented people put together on 1 show. The best and most creative skits.
They will never get old.
Absolutely no-holds-barred, everything was a target. This and the British SMACK THE PONY are my two favorite skit-comedies.
SNL when Chris Farley and Adam Sandler were on was the best stuff they EVER had!!

I’m gonna check that show out!

david alan grier so underrated as a comedian
