We drove around the Scotch 80s neighborhood awhile ago. Such cool homes out in that area.
Snazzy area! Here's something odd... Go to google maps and check the corner of Sliver Ave and Westwood Drive. On one corner, the structure is completely blurred out. I've never seen that before. I just checked and you can request google blurr your residence. Interesting.
@@OneManOneCamera Interesting. I remember when I was looking for the Chicken Coop Murder House in So Cal, google was off the coordinates big time but we had checked it out before so we knew where to look when we approached the area.

Thanks again for your tour. I had a friend who lived in that area of Upland. Always amazed how small the strip looks from that angle. (just a illusion) But driving around, you pretty much always know where you are if you can see the Stratosphere in the distance.
You're right, the Strat is like a beacon to let people know where they are in the valley.

Hey there I to remember the radio show the shadow its one of those stations you have to find and have the button on it just right to hear it, I love the area you were in and those trees were beautiful, I still think you should get a go pro it would br much easier and you can go much faster,much love ❤❤❤❤

Why are there so few multi storey homes in Vegas, or is that just typical of most American residential neighbourhoods? In the UK we call them Bungalows and usually they were built for seniors who might have trouble handling stairs.
I believe the ordinance for some areas requires a 3:1 ratio of space from the property line to the height of the structure. So if a residence is one floor, say 15 ft in height, it must be 45 feet from the line.
In some areas, there are multilevel, relatively modern homes and they don't follow the same rules. Hope that was helpful.
@@OneManOneCamera I see, so if someone wanted a two storey property in those circumstances, it would have to be set back at least 30 yards from the street? Very nice video by the way, the people who bought those properties in the 'historic' area were probably just surrounded by desert originally, looking for some peace and quiet :)
