One night I heard a noise on my porch and figured it was one of the three feral sibling cats I feed, but it was unusually loud, so I went to check. The moon was bright so when I went and peeked out the shades I could see the outline of dog playing with one of the pool balls, but it was strange as it appeared he was somehow throwing it up and catching it, so I turned on the light to get a better look, and I was stunned to find a raccoon, not a dog, playing with one of the balls. Unfortunately I spooked him as I wasn't quiet enough opening the shades, and the light didn't help.
There are two hilarious raccoon videos you have to see if you like animal videos, search "raccoon and dunkin donuts" and raccoon pool party"...the first is a must see. I'd give a link but YT doesn't allow them.
Racoons are wild animals. They carry rabies. These parents are irresponsible to let their children play with them!! It seems these crazy animal lovers care more about animals than their own children!

I had 3 raccoons, 3 opossums, 2 cats, and 4 dogs living in the house with my wife and myself. For the most part, we all got along fantastic! Brings back great memories. Thanks.

@@helenaville5939 It is just one situation, where the dog may have felt annoyed. This doesnt mean, it is like that all the time. But whatever. This woman seems to love her animals and is around them 24/7. She probably is in a better position to judge their relation.^^

They carry a lot of disease. Their feces can blind you, give you brain damage and kill you. Sure, watch them, but never ever touch one.

Fortunatelly you can brush your teeth with tooth paste but they can't so the animals have to put up with tooth ache for the rest of their life.

The dog is very introverted and shy but is sensitive to love like many humans. That is a beautiful environment they live in!
That was a pretty tame Wild Raccoon. Delightful to see the interaction among these critters.
I think you got the part about his best friend wrong. It looks as if the dog would prefer some alone time, but the raccoon won't leave him alone 🙂

Animals are so much better than humans. They are noble and honest. Yes, there are predators and prey, but they don’t hurt or kill each other for stupid reasons like jealousy, anger, insecurity, greed etc.
animals kill for dafety, territorial rights and for food....
We handle all Animals with so much love and the return we get a happy life forever

Raccoons love honey roasted peanuts because I gave a wild raccoon half a bag of honey roasted peanuts and the Raccoon who I named Rocket happily ate up the honey roasted peanuts that I gave him.
I know that he will remember me for that act of kindness upon him that day.
@@SmokeyMcb Awe, bless your heart. Honey is sugar though and maybe that's why you named him Rocket, lol. Just teasing. My Rocky is a spitfire and I don't trust giving him sugar. He was by tonight for more unsalted peanuts and cat food and drank an entire bowl of water and cleaned his paws. They are good at eating ticks too! :)

The title is a bit wrong as hes not a wild raccoon that bonded with a dog and then runs back to his wild family
He was a hand fed baby raccoon thats now a pet and cant be returned to the wild
Maybe he didn't have a wild family which is the reason he was wandering around as a baby.
Seems like they wanted another pet and "found " a baby raccoon.

@@dogscratchedoor or it's Mother knew it was time for him to be on it's own and do what coons do for finding food and for survival. This family made it more vulnerable to predators. Animal and human. Fear is what keeps wild animals safer from predators.

It's sad knowing how short the lifespan of raccoons are. Well, at least he's out there living his *best* *life,* loved unconditionally by his family...he has it better than a lot of humans, me included.

I didn't see the part where it looked like Toby enjoyed Nugget. Toby seemed to tolerate Nugget, almost like a bullied kid tolerates his bully.
