I bought one of these Prazi beam cutters for my Bosch saw and it worked great. I had to attach scrap 1/2" plywood on top and bottom of a 5" thick glue up that I cut top to minimize tear out with the chain being a very rough cut but it got through the wood quickly. Just sanded the cut ends with 80 and 120 grit orbital sander to make it clean. I used a straight edge to guide the saw. I rarely use my circular saw, so I'll just leave it on the saw for future projects. A 14" circular saw runs ~$800

If only these attachments could rig the rotation to match the rotation of a chainsaw. This way you can use the circular saw as a chainsaw. I hope I was able to come across correctly.

All sorts of hassle when it comes to health+safety on site, chainsaws often require different tickets/insurance which this mitigates plus this holds it nice and upright but I get what you mean 👍

Pick the one Battery Tool Platform that doesn't carry chainsaw on same platform? all other portable tool platforms in US sell chainsaws that are tested and designed for specific task of cutting wood, at a reasonable and similar price of this attachment. Or you can just volunteer as Crash Dummy, Lab Rat and void the Warranty of your Circular Saw. Like tenderizing meat with a hammer engineered for wood 🥩🔨 🤣🤑

chain "brake"...pretty sure as soon as you release the trigger the saw stops (as shown at the end of the video)...duh!
