Man you hit the nail on the head! I retired from a job that was very stressful and I drove a lot so I sat a lot. Being able to now not be stressed out and to make and plan every meal, I have lost about 20 lbs and now working on strength. Food is fuel the higher the quality of it the better you will run, just like in my motorcycle low quality of fuel it just labors to go. All the drugs in them world won’t fix the problem. It comes down to what and when you put stuff in your pie hole 😂

& the 485. But I suspect their cams might not have "won" in that scenario.
483 is the cam right now
@@PAB712They don’t creat low end torque. This series is for cams designed to produce low end torque and great HP. Those cams you mentioned would be top end cams which we’ll pair with larger cubic in high comp setups. We will do one of those cam shootouts at a later time.

Some awesome info on these cams. If I do a cam on my 24 RG, it'll probably be SE 511, gotta keep that warranty for a bit.
Love these new m8s, the bike rides great in all RPms, depending how spirited you want to be.

Definitely a smart choice. I had the cam kit installed at purchase of my 24 and 176 miles later it blew oil and smoke and they replaced a head with the warranty. After I get 1 year of reliable performance I might start doing things that will void the warranty. My bike is plenty fast with the setup right now.
Why waste your money to just do it again later with a much better cam?

Min / Max Torque 127.6 to 136.2. That's a swing of 8.6. Min / Max HP 121.0 to 134.4. That a swing of 13.4. I don't think anyone is going to notice the difference between them. But good to see the numbers on them with the new bike.

I would also like to see a C.R. 512 and C.R. 515 in a S.E. 131 stg IV. Looks like a good bolt in for a 150ish square. Easy on the valve train also.

Getting a 530 cam on my 2024 RG. Just waiting on the tuner to come in.
Can you show the graph with all the cams, with TIME on the bottom instead of RPM? To show which cam accelerated the quickest. Would be helpful to pick a fast accelerating cam. Thanks for all your hard work and videos, they are very informative and well done.

What are the limits of the valve springs in the new heads? It's freaking impossible to find that info ANYWHERE.

My buddy has a 2019 road glide, special 114 with a Arlen Ness breather, Vance and Hines X pipe,power vision tune & Cycle Rama 480 MT cam.
He got 118.35 Horsepower
133.36 torque
Can anybody chime in and tell me are those good numbers or is that low? He was told he was going get 125 hp and 140 torque.
Those are pretty typical numbers from what I've seen with that cam. That cam has a nice flat curve though! It really is a great option, and I'm surprised these guys used the old CR480 instead of the newer MT version
I know you can’t have every Cam to test, but how could you guys leave out the Red Shift 468 and S&S 475 leading cams???
@@DeBa1226 both of the cams get destroyed on initial torque and overall horsepower by the MHP-485 and CR 480.

What cam will give the 2024 More chop? The S&S 475 cam gave previous years that chop, is there an equivalent for the newer bikes?

@@kimberleyag1511 Same. We typically don’t see shifted or twisted flywheels. We see bearing tightness on the big end of the rods…caused by various things.

I’d love any knowledge you guys can throw at me on the new cam sensor for these 24’s. What does the ecm do with the information the cam sensor is providing it?
Reason I ask is my 2024 RG is throwing a p34100 (cam sensor) code, I have to get it home a couple hundred miles next week and it’s running “okay” but has shut off on me twice. Can clear the code but it comes right back once the bike is started so I do believe this is more than just a pull the 60 amp fuse situation.

Why do you think a 64mm tb and intake would out perform a stock 55mm or 58mm? That will decrease velocity correct?

The MHP 485 smokes it on TQ and HP so we didn't include it this time around.

@@vernlochtefeld1626 I appreciate you giving me that info. That’s where I want to be in the 30s with both numbers being very close. F35A is the cam I have been eyeing for awhile and believe it would be best for my riding
@@unclesaamisarmory it was a stage 3 107 to 114. IE a lil bigger bore & shorter stroke than an off the floor 114. Compression instead of 10.5-1 was 11-1. I used SE Ventilator extreme AC, ported 64TB and S&S Superstreet exhaust.

Would you recommend a 64mm manifold and throttle body in a previous gen 114 M8 over the 55 or 58 with one of these cams?

@@davidcolby6661 the MHP 492 has a 522 lift intake and we’d push you towards it since you are have stock heads.

@@marvelharris9540 I’m with you on that one. They never include that cam in any of their cam shootouts and it probably fits better into ninety percent of most riders riding styles.

Harley stock 24' M8 touring is 105HP, 130ft. lb torque, at the crankshaft. Do you have any base dyno runs to post ?? Just interested in how much improvements were achieved.

Problem is still whatever money you put into it, it will cut down at 110 mph… who wants a bike than is that slow. Thinking of going back to 2023 model
