J t Thanks for the comment. I have more videos to upload for the boat. I just need to find the time to edit them and post them. Working on some fishing videos as well. Stay tuned. More to come soon
Great video! I have the same boat and bought everything to make this. You should patent that. I also watched the lowrance bracket video! Man your pretty good at this. I bet you could open a shop up even part time and make some decent cash. Very clean and sleek look! I was wondering if you know the dimensions of the wood just to make it a little easier?
The water store Thanks, it works great for me. Just a tip. Make sure you don’t cut the wood the exact size of your door because if you have the drip rail on the deck, when you close it , it won’t shut.. I think I went like an inch or so smaller on all four sides of my lid so it would not hit the drip rail
The water store The board I used was just a piece of pine I got from lowes. You can get it from Home Depot or whatever store you have where you live. It was a 1 inch price of pine by whatever width and length you need for your setup. I got what’s called #2 pine which when you look at it you can see some knots in it, but when you paint it you can’t see them and it’s cheap
James hall Thanks, I got the clips on amazon. Just type in "clip board clips" I bought the pack of ten from utoper I think the price went up slightly, but if you look you can get different pack sizes
I think this was a great idea, but for me it didn't work well. I used 3/8" plywood with several coats of spar varnish. I got the same clipboard clips and the installation went off without a hitch. After stocking the clips as shown on the video, I found the hatch doors to be considerably heavier and not easily opened due to the added weight. I also found that the clips did not provide adequate grip and bags would slide out of them. I ultimately removed the system and I think I might make 20 clipboards with th clips ;)
Marty epperly Sorry to hear this didn’t work out for you. I do agree it does make my doors heavier. I really haven’t had any problems with my clips holding the bags though. So I don’t know how to explain that

Where did you get the clipboard clips? I think these clips are key for max storage.

Thanks for the kind words. My board is 11 3/4 x 20 1/4. You need to leave a little space around the edges for your drip rails
What are the hooks holding your soft plastics??
