I don’t blame him, homies always smoked. He pulled up to a demo and he opened his car door and blunt smoke poured out like a fog machine. Amazing he can handle business like that Fun fact: he’s really nice to fans
The cool thing about this is that the general manager or whoever that guy is knows all the process and is able to do it himself, that's good that somebody knows all the process right there, other managers just like to be sitting their ass in the office all day. Let's just hope he treats those people in the shop right and is friendly with them.
Usually guys who wear star wars shirts are pretty cool managers lol. But I'm sure he does his fair share of sitting on his ass, perks of being a manager.
MrCokemaster05 Mexicans are doing all the hard labor works that lazyass “Mericans” don’t want to do so stfu and because of those Mexican workers they get to keep the cost low so you need to think about the fuck you’re saying before commenting
My daughter just got into skateboarding. She really likes the 90s skaters. I told her I used to skate with all the pros at love park here I am in GA at 42 picking skateboarding up again to teach daughter she loves you and Kalis
Use to skate with you at Love Park in Philly back in the mid 90's mad trips to Wawa and the grind bar bka "yellow bar" . Glad to see you still doing your thing . Miss those Sub zero and city hall days!
That's awesome.. I work for a printing company in Philly and I have been there for 17 years now and I thought a lot went into what we print but there's a hell of a lot that goes into making a quality skateboard deck... Like I said I work and live in Philly and I'm around the same age as Stevie and I remember skating LOVE and seeing Stevie come up and I love DGK decks and products and just wanna say congratulations Stevie bro you really came up and got an amazing skateboard company bro and I totally support DGK...
Not gonna lie seeing Stevie right now i wouldn't have thought that he was a pro skateboarder. But to think that he Started DGK so long ago. Is nothing short of Amazing...
Thanks Stevie, this was an awesome process! I wish more companies would make videos like this. A skateboard is so much more than just a piece of wood, there's so much engineering that goes into making a good laminate, and it's cool that DGK cares that much. I've always loved deep concaves and steep tails and most companies don't even offer that kind of information. OH and awesome Hendrix Jacket!
It’s awesome to see that business is still booming in the skateboard industry. Skating is a dying breed and I’m hoping that with skateboarding being in the 2020 Olympics it will bring massive popularity back to skating
Stevie, It is great that you are doing so well. I remember skating with you back in the early 90s when you first started. And look at you now! Never settle, keep on doing great things.
I love this video because here we can see the whole process involved in skateboarding and the type of machines and the quality with which it works. Well done DGK, You got your like.👍
What a lot of extra effort (and power!) needed to dye and dry the laminates. If we all just skated natural coloured decks then we'd be doing a fair bit to save the planet! ;)
Really cool video it's crazy how much work they put into making those boards. It's like a "How Its Made" episode lol (except it's shot with an iPhone lmao). That's actually a pretty cool job, i wouldn't mind working there fr.
i had my first DGK deck and it was a stevie deck that was white green like colour with purple stevie logo and my experience was that the paint graphic was so thin it flaked off, i now have my first palace danny brady deck and the paint graphic is so much superior.
Stevie gonna mess around and have a factory in West Philly. Go to the Thomas Regusters and you can find all that equipment. Bro u can do it. Haak Blast here peace brah. I love what you're doing.
26:55 - I'm surprised that they use such a manual process to pop-out any leftover wood from the truck bolt holes. The holes are a standard width and layout, they could make a 'stencil' using a small piece of wood (or left-over deck?). Drill 4x scews into that left over stencil and then they could "pop" all 4 holes in 1 go. I'm sure over a month this would save 30+ hours.
@tiefighter3445 and the Maple is from Far, Far, Far North Canada! The colder the tree gets, the tighter the wood! I got to do this @Manak🛹's. It was fun to design own board
Me gustaría trabajar haciendo skateboards todo los días. Eso y haciendo tenis skate. Así aprendería todo los secretos y crearía mi propio marca de Skate
Stevie gonna pull that damn door off
Syth you killed me 😂
LOL
They should really fix it actually, if everyone walks through it
best intro ever trying to pull a door that says "PUSH" hahah legend!

That's the Owner, and he's seriously one of the nicest, most down to earth people

It is trust
Jen u kno him personally ? U lived w/him ??
Worked for for him for 4 years one of the best bosses and most giving man i ever know. Stand up guy
Top work to all the forgotten labor force that make these decks we ride. Love going out to them and their families
Damn the amount Of work that goes into a skateboard
Really cool to see the process, shout out the Mexicans in the factory
Exile bruh why y’all gotta stereotype us latinos like that we not all Mexicans

good choice for a video. not many how to make a board behind the scenes videos by legit companies on youtube. and the perfect dude to do this video.
Thanks Stevie, this was an awesome process! I wish more companies would make videos like this. So DGK decks have steep concave and kick tails?
What always amazes me about factories isnt what they make, but the machines that were built to make the product.
For real tho, I respect engineers' work a ton
I always wondered If those machines existed before or were they created specifically for those purposes
That's AMAZING, the process to create a skate is art!! DGK love 🔥
I just started skating again last year. My first new deck was a Stevie signature. Love this guy. DGK All Day!
It’s awesome to see that business is still booming in the skateboard industry. Skating is a dying breed and I’m hoping that with skateboarding being in the 2020 Olympics it will bring massive popularity back to skating
Wowed by the way skateboards are made, thanks for showing the people behind the hard work!Awsome!!!
That so nice of you showing him how a board is made then giving it to him
Epic work appreciation day... BBS is unreal 🙌🏽

As a kid, I loved walking into surfshops and seeing how beautiful the pro boards looked compared to the classic "walmart" starters. Interesting watch.
