I've gone through 4 O2 sensors that were covered in oil and the shop couldn't figure out why. I started doing some digging and found out my PCV valve was leaking oil and dripping onto the O2 sensor causing it to fault out.
OEM parts are the way to go. Bought my PVC valve from Mopar Genuine Parts On-Line for $81.00. Still over priced in my opinion, but don’t buy from a dealership. They have a 200-300 percent markup on their parts.
I know that part. 2 hours later and still not out. cant get two hands in there. maybe a stubby ratchet, i will modify one of my older ones. Been a mechanic for ever and nothing so frustrating than some engineer designed crap. they could've put that valve anywhere on the engine. should be a 10 minute job
czcams.com/video/fRxHZoMfuQ8/video.html this guy does a great job at showing what to do. the link to the bits and tiny ratchet are in his video description. it's what i used to change mine
if you turn the wheel all the way to the left, and then remove the plastic wheel well cover, then you can leave the wheel on. just dont forget about the harness for the light before you go yanking on it
I purchased an oil filter from the dealer and they sold me the wrong one. Lucky for me, the kid at Auto Sone knew his products.
Dealership are getting pretty unreliable these days.

That's frustrating. Glad you got it figured out.
What are the symptoms, and what kind of trouble were you having?
@moody-1984 I could here the valve leaking air. I also knew I had a vacuum leak because I had a slight vibration at idle.

Good to know. Do you buy it from a Mopar website or from another site?
@@JeepsLimitedgood question the dealer near me appears to be ripping people off
@@stevenlengyel9701 most of the dealership are over priced on parts in my opinion.
great but how do you get it to it with the t20 type bolt?
Same way. You just have to makensure.you get the bit lined up in the bolt properly so it doesn't strip it.

Missed the old days where replacing it took 2 mins
Right. Everything one these cars is a pain.
I thought the bolts were T25s on the PCV
I believe the factory bolts are. At one point I replaced it at it came with different bolts.
What's the symptom of a bad valve! Should it blow the air in both sides? Mine did. The old one as well as the new one. Really don't get it!!!
I could hear air leaking out of mine. It made a whistling noise.
Did you remove the tire to get access?
I did not. You probably could and it might help but I didn't need to.

@@void6714 Thanks
What problem did you have with the dorman one ?
I could hear air leaking out of it. I think the inner mechanism broke.
I just changed mine at 58000 miles and it didn’t look good I think it needs changing every 30000 .dealer requires every 100000 not going that route
@user-sv8mq2eq3z it's fairly cheap and easy to replace so might as well change it a little more often.
How much and we’re you buy it ?
I got it at a jeep dealership. I believe it was about $150.
@@JeepsLimited dang! That’s steep. How’s the mopar valve working out for you so far?
@camboobass yeah the Mopar stuff is definitely a little expensive. So far it's working well. Been on there for a few months now.
