I had cousins in Oakville, the Tasty Freez was always a treat. That area has changed drastically

Great video!!! Seeing the white on black license plates makes me think this is from 1957 or 1959.

I practically had Bronte as my second home since 1954, and travelled that stretch all the way from East end Hamilton, into the 1970's. I saw no 1960's cars, but only mid to late model 1950's cars as lates as 1958. So i feel it's dated 1958/9.
Also, the drive begins as the car approaches the old bridge over Bronte Creek, and the Walton Memorial United Church on the left beyond it. The Tastee-Freez is in Oakville, and the old B/A Refinery is on the bend heading north on Southdown Road into Clarkson.

Yes, it's clearly pre 1962 because of where the "Welcome to Oakville" sign is. After 1962 the sign would have been at Burloak Drive and therefore not in the video.

as kids we used to hang around that Bronte Gore Park. The bench was sort of OUR bench , lol. Allens drugstore directly across , the riverside restaurant just before the old bronte bridge , and crossroads restaurant again just across the road from the bench , another great hangout for kids. What a great place to grow up. Lived for a time in the mansion at 231 bronte rd . Wow what a house . And they've actually made it bigger ! If I had the money I'd buy that damn house

At 0:24 it looks like Lakeshore behind Blakelock, approaching Westdale Rd and Spring Garden Rd.

Fascinating. I am pretty sure 1:19 is where Lakeshore turns north in Clarkson, shortly followed by clip going under the railway bridge which is the entrance to Clarkson, then shortly after, the down hill section of Lakeshore exiting Clarkson. Fascinating, thanks.

Any HWY 69 Footage from Sudbury to Toronto? Also, do you have railway crossing footage?

No railway crossing footage. At least not yet. But I was surprised to see a film titled "Hwy 69 to Sudbury". Capturing it now. Will upload soon.
