    The sad thing about Dunks are the fact most of us can't even get em cause these bots and resellers be taking all the Dunks. Skateshop need to stop doing raffles for them and just sell them to customers. I remember when you were able to buy Dunks at any skate shop without worrying about if you are ever going to get a pair or not.

      Facts bro stuff is so annoying. They would always be available for anyone to get . Now the hypebeasts ruined it for the skaters who actually skated them

    • @ElmStreet
      @ElmStreet Před 2 lety +6

      raffles aren't bad if they just sold them to customers your chances of getting some will still be low. by the time you get to the shop they will be sold out or there will be a line of people wrapped around the entire block.

      Some skate shops have or at least have had a rule that even if you win a raffle you have to land an Ollie or a kickflip or something.
      I’ve also heard of skate shop saying that in order to buy then you have to wear them out. You can’t just leave them in the box.

    They've always been great skate shoes, when you could get them. There was the first dunk hype mid 2000, then you could get them pretty readily. No reseller hype, no lotteries. Now you're probably better off getting some Es Accel OG with aftermarket insoles. They skate like the OG dunks before they changed the tread and added the phylon window on the sole. The most recent pair of dunks I had about 5 years ago were stiff and kind of cheap feeling.

      dc manteca's are literally dunks, the paneling is almost exactly the same. Out of any skate shoe ive ever tried if u want a shoe that feels like a dunk and looks like a dunk thats the shoe. Put a dunk insole in one and you probably wouldnt tell the difference. OG accels are a good bit more bulky than dunks, older dunks were puffier tho more like accels but still slimmer, the entire shape of the bottom of the shoe is wider on a accel to, esp in the middle dunks get slim, accels dont. Dunks give me a bit more boardfeel but ive been skating accels longer, but both for a while, broken in og accels are pretty hard to beat and look right, dunks look alot worse beat up imo. Like if ur rocking a beat up pair of accels, ill be like that kid prolly skates, if i see a kid with beat up dunks idk wtf im looking at.

      @@profo4544 I had a pair, just didn't like that they didn't have a foam midsole. It was that egg crate midsole. Og accels def puffier than dunks for sure, even old dunks. I literally opened up the tongue on my accels, pulled out foam making the tongue, then cut it lengthwise making it half as thick. Put it back in and stitched it up. Sounds difficult but was pretty easy. Great shoe if they just eliminated about half the foam in the tongue and 30% in the collar

    It’s sad Nike makes their shoes intentionally limited so the price skyrockets. They fundamentally misunderstand that if they produced more people would skate them and they would probably make even more money because shoes only last so long before they blowout. It’s sad they would rather cater to people who view shoes as an asset than those who use shoes for their functionality.
