2 things i like about this drummer
1- his use of dynamcis and creativity
2- his shirt
One of a kind.
"After all" you would know 😉
Beautiful. My ears tell me he's studied the masters. This isn't as much of solo as it is pure drum music.
Love the touch on the snare. Those ghosts notes possess the rest of the groove.
Jamire Williams is one of the best drummers to hit the scene in the past 10 years. One of the most versatile drummers. Check him out with Kenny Garrett. His groove is on fire!
Fuck the drumming (which was great!), let's talk about that shirt baby!!
That was spiritual. The way the toms are tuned in relation to the cymbals is pure ecstasy to my ears. The man was playing melodies and then he was just coloring the music with notes and textures.
Making music not noise. Hell yea. Great sound and creativity. Now this is what I think a great drummer is.
I had the chance to be mentored by Jamire he helped me a lot. I'm just blown away by his success.
His dynamics and sticking are incredible. Good lord
That bass drum sounds terrific
Vulf sent me here
Houston Tx drummers.
Chris Dave, Mark Simmons Jamire Williams.
Damn he sounds good. Drums are super clean too!
Beautiful. Thanks.
Saw him with Kenny Garrett in Detroit. Fantastic drummer and very creative.
Looks like Brian Blade in disguise
+Daniel Sabelnikov Or a black Erskine? :-)
DEDDD
What a great solo.
You have no idea how long I've been waiting for this.
That was a very moving solo. Just beautiful
That was incredible.
amazing! so expressive!
still love it!!
I love this K cons hibell thin ride. I am not sure if it's low or high but sounds perfect, I am glad that got one as well
So good!
superb taste and style. bass drum is sublime.

super awesome!!
Man such great tunings, especially the bass drum danggggg :3
Beautiful
The best!
Gold.
Oh yes, Jamire Williams!
fantastic
Jamire is the man
Super fresh.
Nice watch, fits great to the cymbals ;-)
got to love that shirt
Indeed, I love Sonor drums, and Tama.
What a genius! :-)
That shirt is fly as hell!!
Someone else could also simply think "Man what an awesome drummer with great chops..."
Finally someone with the same name as me
They all are :)
hi
great sound!
does anyone know which mics are used in this video?
I have to record a drum solo and would love to know because I love the sound of this drums so much.
thx
que samica!! belleza!
sooo buttery
hahaha his face at the end!!
I was kind of mesmerized by his hat
BELEZA !!!
art
Someone else could just as easily say "DW drums, Sabian cymbals, Evans heads, and Vater sticks". But I agree, its a good combo ;)
That Kick sound amazing!!
I love my 22" kick but its hard to get this kind of sound out of it!
Feel you man. I'd say his might be an 18" kick. I have a 22" myself and I'm thinking about getting coated batter head; that might give it a warmer sound.
I might just buy an 18" kick....
If you do get a coated head make sure it's a single-ply. It's hard to get this sound with a double-ply & having a 22" Kick.
He is getting a great drum tone from his kick because he's playing with a lighter touch.
What's that tarantula thingy on the drum?
jesus!!!
Had to watch this twice cause I was distracted by his shirt
does jamire live in Los Angeles now?!
Wish I knew what cymbal that is on his right side
light touch, right touch
tight style
like Dwayne Wayne
Kadeem the dream
communion w/theo huxtible
in the stevie wonder episode
meant in the nicest way possible
@4:10 Three Camps variation?
Hahahah! Perfect.
I agree to all that you said, except evans heads
4:07 daaaaaaaaaaayum
Why are there 3 "thumbs down"? I guess the man has some HATERS!
Thank you to the Vulf boys for putting me on to this guy
Mike Epps is with Vic Firth?!
his leftside ride is a spizzichino
ludwig, evans, VIC FIRTH, Zildjian (or any great sounding cymbal) is what i prefer
Simon Rossen(DK) DRS DRUMS
I seriously hate that this is only 7 minutes
oh- ABbioodtype,,,color,,man good
Africa
I'd go with meinl cymbals, thats the only thing that separates me from that. lol
Dat bass tho
Looks like he's been taking down some Bill Cosby... Amazing.
@AquaAnim man I appreciate that yo. I'm not saying this guy isn't dope it's just the solo that he played doesn't show how great of a player he MIGHT be. I've never seen him play before so this was my first impression. But I'm glad that you knew what I meant about the solo lacking something. I greatly appreciate that we could understand each other.
@ T. Wolfe there just hating on the shirt. The things jealousy does to people.
There is a spider on your floor Tom!
2:45
hahahahahahahaha. Good one
Awesome drummer with a crazy smile, but I admit I do my share of weird faces behind the kit.
i shit my pants .....
Looks like a Zildjian K High Definition Ride 22". Terry Lynn Carirington designed 'em.
It sounds like something out of Bitches Brew
Snare drum actually.
Best is pro mark,dw and sabian and evans . They are popular because they are good the sound id unbeatable, some remos are good and zildjian is amazin as well, some mapex is good but thats it
Paulo 101 - You are clueless son.
Ill
Sabian, remo, Vater, Ludwig
@Jack Kovar but DW js overpriced
1 dislike? Woah, Justin Bieber must have been here.....
Spike Lee on Drums, everybody
Only good thing DW put out is the Jazz series. I wouldn't wipe my ass with the sound of any of their other drums.
No wow factor
+Skinny Hightower negative
+Skinny Hightower yo stfu, I'm not talking about chops and wild shit. By the wow factor I mean is.....Philly Joe Jones, Papa Joe Jones, Gene Krupa, Buddy, Max, Speedy, Baby, Elvin, Erskine, Hutchinson, Peterson. The list is endless. I know my history of my instrument and isn't because I listed a bunch of legends. When I watch and listen to these guys play, I feel their love for our instrument and I can identify with them. I feel nothing when I watch this cat. He can play but the presence isn't there.
+Skinny Hightower lol comparing a musician to some of the greats that come before them is pointless??? Smh. If presence and musicianship and things of that nature don't matter to you then i probably won't be picking up your album lol
+Skinny Hightower Lol! you mad bro?. Still won't get your shitty album
+Skinny Hightower right lol
Clearly, you're unaware of many things.
sorry but pearl and sabian with remo heads go together like... milton jones and comedy
No.
still love it!!
Beautiful
