Otto Silfverhielm och hans kompis är verkligen stereotypa mobbare, de spelar sina roller bra, och en viss igenkänning finns med mobbare som fanns i de skolor man själv gick i.
the only part of this story that doesnt make sense to me is that if erik and his mother had a family lawyer why didnt the lawyer deal with the violent stepfather long before ?
Often very difficult to find solid evidence in cases of domestic abuse. Laws back then weren't what they are today and women had less rights and social standing in general. The stepfather would have just claimed that they were lying, and since they wouldn't have much evidence he'd likely walk free. Then at best he'd destroy the family and move on, or at worst he'd keep living with them and abuse them even worse than he used to. Lawyers can only help you if you have legal standing to base a claim on. If there's no legal standing or very weak legal standing, then you won't have a case and your lawyer won't be able to help you. And that's without even getting into the shitshow that would occurr if the stepfather had friends that would protect him from legal ramifications or terrorize the family into dropping charges. Of course, anything can be solved with enough money. But Erik and his mother weren't exactly millionaires, and something tells me that the stepfather probably controlled the family's financials. So you can see now how they were stuck between a rock and a hard place.
@@jesperhedenqvist922 my guess is that eric did tell people but because she was so broken and beaten down every time he did his mother backed up her husband. all forms of abuse begin with psychological manipulation. once someone knows that they can dominate you in the mind they physical side is easy even if they are smaller weaker and older than you psychically. thats why up to a third of all people who suffer domestic violence violence are men.
