- The relays have been on fire in Melbourne as yet another world record fell, this time to the Italians, breaking the men's 4x50m Medley Relay.
The team of Lorenzo Mora (22.65), Nicolo Martinenghi (24.95), Matteo Rivolta (21.60), and Leonardo Deplano (20.52) set the world record at 1:29.72, lowering their own mark of 1:30.14 from last year to become the first team faster than 90 seconds.

That is a pretty fast race. I am sure the preparation and training have to be different than the long course. The Italians looked in great shape. Wonder if they are doing as well in the long course
They won the 4x100 at the long course World Championships last year, I think they are fine

Question. How do they check that 2nd 3rd and 4th exit at the correct time when the other one actually touched the wall?
Each judge verifies the exit of the next swimmer only when the swimmer touches the wall.
