- In this talk, Chetna Gala Sinha talk about her how her love for animals got her to start a cattle camp, where farmers who are in need of water and fodder for their animals can bring their animals at the camp.
But with no water available in the village, she ended up consturction water reservoirs and water dams.
All this with the help of fellow farmers and women in the village, empowering them.
An economist, farmer, and activist, Chetna Sinha works for social change in some of the poorest and most drought-stricken areas of rural India. She is the founder and the current president of the Mann Deshi Mahila Bank, a micro-enterprise development bank. Mann Deshi’s clients are women from low-income groups, averaging INR 40 (USD 1) per day. The Bank currently has seven branches, over 185,000 clients, and conducts 10,000 transactions on a daily basis.

The people who are criticising her should have visited our droughtful region.then they would have understood ,how great that work was!That great woman did an arrangment of all cattles,farmers and their families for more than two years which was not fully funded by government.She is a backbone of women empowerment in Mann and all great works done in Mann region.So before criticising anyone please know the truth behind it.Salute you # Chetana Sinha for all your great work.
The Indian Government needs such visionary leaders who can bring fundamental changes in the lives of the hard-working poor farmers. Then Govt. schemes will not turn into scams.

Grow up mahn @tukaram bhosale....stop criticising people who are doing great work...just come to our area and see the condition now and compare it with before....she changed the whole area....:-) check dams,cattle camp, gave bicycle to girls and other such a good works...she came like a god for that area and changed the whole image :-)
