Alhamdulillah we were honored to benefit from the noble Sheikh 'Alee Al Halabi in several occasions. The very first time was in 1998, the QSS conference in Arlington. His iconic lecture of "tuuba lil Ghuraba" translated by our notable teacher Sheikh Mohammad Al Jibaly may Allaah preserve him. Then in 1999, in New York for the "Ashratis-sa'ah" seminer and then several times in Arlington, Detroit etc... He was the one who described to us how Sheikh Albani reacted when Sheikh 'Alee informed him the news of the demise of honorable Sheikh Ibn Baaz. I still remember the halaqah after Ishaa in Arlington Masjid. He gave a speech in Detroit few days after the death of his teacher the Muhaddith Imam Al Albani. I still remember when he said Rahimahullaah, all the Muslims in the room resonated with the dua for Sheikh Al Albani. While translating his class, Sheikh Fareed Abdullah choked few times. May Allaah forgive our teacher, our Sheikh, our noble father 'Alee Hasan 'Alee Halabi and give him the best of the best in his grave and hereafter. Ameen.
Masha Allah I was involved at Masjid Ahlul Quran wa Sunnah in Queens NY in the late 90s where Sh. ALi, Sh. Saleem Hilali, Sh. Muhammad Musa Nasr, and Sh. Usamah AlQusi started their frequent visits with us. Masha Allah as a non Arabic speaker, you can tell that he is very eloquent in speech as is evident in his book "Characteristics of the Muslims" where his commentary for each hadeeth just flows into the topic of the next. May Allah forgive Shaykh Ali Hassan al Halabi and Shaykh Muhammad Musa Nasr of their short comings and grant them Jannatul firdous!

The ulamah have made tabdi on al halabi and none of them spoke on his passing like they did for falah, hassan al banna, and muhammed ali al ithyubi, al halabi was not from ahlul sunnah
