Really nice driving! Without traffic, that missed curve at 5:43, and some other really really minor glitches, this should easily break the 8 minute barrier! Also really admire your confidence in your car.
Legend has it that on Nordschleife you need to remember 3 things while racing.
- Keep it tidy
- Use the whole track
- Keep looking back to see the Porsche is behind you ;)
i will watch this video again and again.. this is exactly how i want to lap the ring one day, in a properly done up honda.

804 on rsr rubber is a good run mate . I was there For destination Nurbergring in my K-swapped eg and on the same rubber and could only manage 810 .. Next year with some Dunlop Drizza will see sub 8 .. Always great to rinse super-cars there in the little Honda's. Well done .

Do you have too much rear brake bias ? You lock up the rears more than usual.
Instead of dropping a gear @ 1:23, which is tricky whilst braking and really revs the engine, I wait until 1:26 and then knock it down a gear. It`s smoother.
You appear to be carrying a bit too much speed INTO a few corners, which is losing you speed all the way down the next straight. A little slower in and smoother out and you`ll gain speed.
Not a lot of tweaking needed to get sub 8 Minutes. Good effort indeed.

Great lap. I think you can a lot on the first LEFT hander after Karussel - you are quite cautious but remember it is uphill and positive camber, I don't even brake for this (I am also in a Type-R).

6 gears, he goes into 6th several times, but the car seems to have quite a short gearing, he is in many corners one gear up than many other cars, or so I think.
