We all know Floor is the Godess, the Valkyrie with the most versatile and mesmerizig voice, I do however recommend to listen to Lara Fabian as well with her Adagio version, Lara is one of the best female singers as well, she puts so much emotion in every song. Give it a try, you wont regret it. The next one from Floor should be the Lady Gaga song 'Shallow', bring some tissues, its so beautiful you might cry.

Floor did a show, ( live in Amsterdam) around February of 2022. there's a song she dose, that just blew me away. It's like a ballroom song. This is a 18th century instrumental piece by Giovanni Pergolesi. He died aged 26 from tuberculosis, and in his last days he finished this composition. Lara Fabian wrote lyrics for Adagio (slowly in Italian) and when Floor decided to make a tribute to Lara’s song, the great great Tommy Johansson from Sabaton was asked to do the arrangement❤
I have thought it was a composition by Tomaso Albinoni. From Wikipedia: "The famous Adagio in G minor, the subject of many modern recordings, is thought by some to be a musical hoax composed by Remo Giazotto. However, a discovery by musicologist Muska Mangano, Giazotto's last assistant before his death, has cast some doubt on that belief. There are many beautiful voices, the combination of voice tone and range, breath control and power possessed by Floor is hard to match. There is only one artist that embodies much of those capabilities, and that is Anne Wilson. In her prime she was able to pull off tremendous vocal gymnastics. Floor is my favorite singer of the 21st Century.
Actually the mic is originally 7995$ but now that its aged a bit you can grab one at a cheap price of 6000$ 😄
A couple of reasons (from a hobbyist, I'm not an audio technician) why the mic could be that expensive:
- You want the mic to pick up the smallest details, down to whispers. At the same time it needs to pick up belts without distortion. This is called "dynamic range". Remember how your mic tends to miss out on speech when it's not loud enough, and at the same time the sound is awful (because of "clipping") when you get too loud, like a loud laugh.
- You want the mic to be equally sensitive to all (voice) frequencies, so a low bass gets detected just as well as the high-pitched hiss of an "s".
- You want all that sensitivity, but without any noise.
- You want the mic to last a couple of years without degradation. Remember it's an inverse speaker. Just like a speaker vibrates when it produces sound, the mic vibrates when it picks sound up.
No, this mic does not have a (5-cent or something) RGB light in it. That's kids stuff (no offense to Lulu). Floor really couldn't care less about that. Besides, it's bad for the audio quality. You don't want to put electronic circuits in the mic that don't NEED to be there, because electronic circuits produce noise.
Last year ( could be 2022 also) I read somewhere the difficulties Dimash had with his previous mics . On request some company made those 'special' ones exclusive for him before putting them on the market , maybe just maybe this one Floor using is one of them ?

There are only a handful of singers who could do that song justice. And Floor is at the top of that list.
Lara fabian is a great singer. If Floor didn't do this cover i probably never would heard of her. Floor did in 2019 Beste Zangers. I think that you love to see that. She starts the show with Vilja Lied in German, than Mama in Dutch, Que Se Siente Spanish, I don't know a thing about love a Dutch song translated to English, Shallow Lady Gaga cover, Winner and Phantom of the Opera together with Henk Poort.
Really any of them from the beste zangers Dutch TV series are good. Shallow, Winner or qué SE siente and phantom for me The idea is that each singer sings to the other singers. A great idea for a TV show.

Hi Lucy! Funny you mentioned Floor's bracelet. I think you meant the one with the green stones, which is indeed beautiful. But if you look at her right wrist you see a couple of zilver bracelets. Those are a gift from het mother, whom she loves very much, and she always wears them no matter what (stage)outfit she wears. Also Floor's tattoos are of the favorite flowers of her mother. Floor wrote a song for her... "Strong"..., a very emotional one because her mother suffers from rheumatism and although she has a lot of pain she always cares for her family. In an interview Floor said that when she is singing this song on stage she's always thinking of other things or counting the lights on the ceiling because if she doesn't do that she starts to cry and you can't sing while you're crying.

Lara Fabian is a gorgeous lady with one amazing voice. Many would rightfully question someone doing a cover of one of her most famous songs,but when Floor does it,not only does she do the song justice,but she makes it her own. I have heard alot of covers,where bands or artists pretty much just plays back the original with different vocals.
But Floor always puts her very own stamp on famous songs,some are actually almost unrecognizable if not for the chorus.
Funfact just before Floor started recording all these cover songs during the worst of the pandemic,Floor and the members in Nightwish was actually the first ones to record themselfs,speaking to theyr fans/supporters and hoping they/us were doing okay,alot of words of encouragement,that "we are gonna get through this together". Just genuine,heartfelt messages that im sure helped alot of people at the time,it feels like just yesterday often that it all happened.
And awhile after,all of a sudden there were this wave of artists/bands that did the same thing. I think it was only positive that more people reached out to theyr following like that,but what felt truly special was that Floor in particular and other Nightwish members did it first. You could hear that the way they spoke was really caring and heartfelt. They didnt do it of the "wrong reasons".
And alot of these songs are actually suggested by people within The Nightwish Army and other "Floor fans". As Floor herself asked via social medias what songs she should cover next. It was a thing that helped keep her own head sane,im sure.
I always look forward to the second half of this song in particularly.😊

Floor is an amazing singer, but this is one of the very few songs, that the original is even better in my opinion. Especially the version where Lara sings in Italian. It's just not possible to get any better than that, but Floor did get pretty close though 😊

Lulu asked why does the microphone cost so much, it's because it is the best of the best top of the line professional recording microphones used in studios around the world. During Covid she wanted to start recording in her and Hannes' home studio and she wanted a good microphone that made her sound the way she wanted and in many studios she recorded using this mic so she did her research and decided to splurge and bought one. Just a few things to help add to the cost are the two diaphragms which are lightly covered in pure gold as well as the gold cover on the outside. A diaphragm is what is used to pick up the voice which then goes through circuitry that has a vacuum tube instead of digital chips. Using a tube keeps the voice sounding natural, smooth and warm. An audio engineer setup Floor's mic for her unique voice characteristics. Her studio and that mic was used to record her vocals on Nightwish's latest album coming out later this year because she just had her baby Lucy. It also recorded a few vocal tracks on their last album too. A little Floor/Nightwish trivia.

This is also used in music to define the pace of a music (a bit slow, between lento and andante) and also as a name of a piece of a sonata, concerto or symphony that is using that specific pace.
The music from this song of Lara Fabian is a pop translation of an italian classic piece called "Albinoni's Adagio". It was written in 1958 by Remo Giazotto who was an admirer of Albinoni, a musician from the 17th/18th century. He claimed it was from him and gave his music this name but there is consensus today that he most probably has composed it himself.
The classic music piece is globally famous and there were many different translations into different songs, with different music compositions, mostly operatic, and different lyrics (the band Renaissance, Daniele Licari, Sarah Brightman and Sissel Kyrkjebo for instance).

This singer made a good effort, very well, it could be better if she didn't try to copy the way Mrs Lara Fabian sings Adagio live. It is good to see reactions to singers who are not well known. The bracelets on Floor's right wrist were passed from her grandmother to her mother and then to her. Look for them while you watch any video of her, and you will see these bracelets. She always wears them. Floor tested many microphones to use in her home studio and the $6k one was found to be the best at reproducing her voice. 😊🤘

She really can sing anything and always makes the song her own, really worth of getting to know her singing, the endless colors and timbre and voice technologies, many voice coaches use her as an example of the perfect techniques. Se has said, that she is NOT an Opera Singer, having trained classical singing and using it as an effect and her interests are elsewhere than professional Opera Singing. Hi,nice reaction,just want to tell you a little about microphones(Lulu was a bit curious about that),for studio recordings it's essential that you have very good microphones ,wich don't introduce any noise or other defacts. These microphones also are usually very even sounding for the whole frequentie spectrum,so,with other words ,they are evenly loud on all frequenties.Sometimes they use gold plated diafragm wich,ofcourse ,make them also more expensive. With microphones you have the "proximity" effect,the closer you are to the microphone the more lower frequenties are hearable. Studio microphones have a little less of this "proximity"effect,so they have better stability over rhe frequentie range versus,distance to the microphone.
Also,the frequentie range is bigger than "normal""cheaper" microphones, so, "normal mic= between 50Hz and 12.000Hz and Studio can be between 20Hz to 20.000Hz or more.
The wider frequentie range gives a more airy feel or a better placement in the music,generally ,they sound more natural. There are many different Studio microphones and they are picked especcially wich suits the voice or instruments. Lot's more to tell about microphones,but this is just a short explanation. Trust me, it's the 1st time i saw a Floor cover where i say, "the original is still better". But it«s explainable, Floor is much more comfortable in the 2nd part of the song and she can't weave between notes as well as Lara between keys.... Goest o ay Lara is even better than i thought :P

Actually the music was written by Albinoni in the late 17 century (although some say that it was the later discoverer of the manuscript Remo Giazotto who actually composed it). mrs Fabian wrote new lyrics for the song.

Sorry i have to admin that, but Floor, u are amazing. I've seen you live in Amsterdam last friday and i was blown away. Anneke van giersbergen (former singer of The Gathering🇳🇱) was support act. You 3 ladies, u are fun too watch and keep going on. Unfortunately i cannot buy a coffie because i have no international creditcard or so, but i like what i see. Maybe your viewers get more dutch talents on your channel hahaha. Because we in the netherlands have more fantastic performers.

When you have a voice with that much tonal range and power... you need a very good microphone ... Im guessing the mic that you guys have would not have the tonal range to capture floors singing range & would start to distort or clip the signal with her volume range
