- Um..What? Did I really make this? A seven minute video from Ash?! That's right, people! I can vid more than two minutes if I really put my mind to it!
No, really. What was I thinking? I don't even know how this started, but I think it's the longest video I've ever made. Complete with voice-overs and the most awe-inspiring piece of music I've ever heard in my life. Don't get me started on how hard this was to render -- or how many times I had to re-render because sony vegas kept glitching out on me. Damn you, vegas. I just can't seem to quit you.
There's no way I could sum up this video in a few words, but if I had to try:
A character study of dean winchester -- the self-loathing he feels for himself, the self-sacrificing love he feels for his brother, enduring 40 years of torture because of it, and how the weight of the entire world rests on his shoulders.

"He wasn't there for Sam, I always was!" chills at this delivery, man. John was a piece of crap who doesn't deserve Sam or Dean. Dean is an awesome brother and Sam is an amazing person. They're both way better than John.
I agree. Its sad how Sam and Dean vouch and make excuses for their father but when Dean was in a coma, Sam yelled at John for asking where the colt gun was at instead of worrying about Dean. He made Dean grow up at a young age too soon. Raised both his sons to be hunters instead of trying to move to Canada or something and give them a life. Dean was more of Sam's guardian than the dad
this is literately session 1-9 of supernatural, wrapped in 7 min and 12 seconds .
Tells the story of dean and sam perfectly.

This....this is like a lesson in how to make a character study, a perfect, epic, character study that completely explains a character to the point where even someone who didn't watch SPN would immediately get a complete grasp of who Dean is. Ash, you are a master, seriously-this was perfection.

Just... listening to this again and being caught up on the show, it's startling and amazing how close Sam and Dean are and how much they need each other. It's like they literally cannot go on in life without each other. Dean needs Sam because he needs to feel needed and useful, and Sam needs Dean because Dean keeps him grounded and on the right track. You either get both Winchesters, or neither.

I rarely cry, but this is breathtaking. I can't handle, when Dean cries. And Sam too. I'd like to have a sister or brother and have this kind of relationship like them.

This video is amazing :D it summarizes how Sam and Dean feel while at the same time how those feelings triggered the events that happened. This is probably the best video ive seen and the one who's brought me the closest to tears.

The "fake-demon-dean" & dean conversation (around 4:00) totally gave me chills and the scenes you chose for that, unghfhfhffff... actually EVERY scene in this video is PERFECT. This is my favourite video about dean ever! It explains the story so good and it never becomes boring! I always cried at the point where he screams "What am I supposed to do?" Dean is just so self-sacrificing, he would endure everything to protect his little brother, even torture and hell. Family is the most important thing for him in the world! He is the best. Dean just wouldn't be Dean without Sammy. Love your Winchester-boys videos! And the music choice is perfect! Keep up the good work Ash!

I know everyone is using the word "amazing", but... this is AMAZING. A flawless character study of Dean throughout the series. I didn't think a CZcams video could capture my full, undivided attention for a full seven minutes, but I was completely enraptured. Slightly teary eyed, too. It was beautiful.

this is an amazing video. i cant really describe how well rounded and extensive it is. it does a fantastic job of showcasing dean's psyche and ways of thinking and how that impacts their everyday life. i liked how the second half focused on sam's thoughts and feelings and the mess they get into in the 4th season. but even though it focused on a lot of the negative parts of their lives, it still wrapped it all up and finished with the brotherly bond that SPN wants viewers to see. Awesome, 5 stars
