ONE of the GREAT films of the 60's. The other's being "Psycho," "Easy Rider," "Night of the Living Dead," and "The Birds."
Good review mate. Finally a simple and concise and thoughtful review about a book that far too many reviewers ramble on and on about aimlessly. Well done.
Thanks for that -- it's very kind of you!
Ohhhh... "it is not about answers or resolution." Yes.
Fantastic 😊😊
Thank you, Noah! 🤟
This was wonderful, Aaron! Thank you for sharing your thoughts. I have been eyeing this one for a little while now, this inspired me to take the plunge and dive in!
I hope you really enjoy it, Micah! I think I'm going to be on the lookout for more by McCullers!
The saddest part (so many sad parts) was dr. Benedict Copeland and Jake blunt hanging out finally and both not getting along. Dudes read the same books and could bond. But they don't. Because America. Would love a longer review!
That's so true. And, yes, there are so many sad parts in this book. But, like your example, so profound too. I need to make review videos more frequently. Hopefully then, with a little more practise, they will be a little longer and deeper.
Great summary and analysis. Im surprised this American Southern classic found you 😜😂🤠 Glad to hear you enjoyed it. Tennessee Williams befriended her etc. Well have to get you in on #FaulknerInAugust next season?!?
Thanks, Allen! I would love to join in with Faulkner in August next year. I seem to have kept missing it over the last couple of years, so I'll make it a priority for 2023!
@@aaronfacer Id like to read _The Luminares,_ w you, too
@@bighardbooks770 Yes! Would January be a good time for you?
@@aaronfacer February would be better ...
@@bighardbooks770 February it is then 👍
Not read it- Excellent review.
Thank you!
Dude have you read the novel or who this author was?
Yes, I've read the novel. I have a rough idea of McCullers' life, but I haven't read a full biography yet.
